Product Description

Fender has been making great amps for over 50 years and over the years a few models have surfaced as classics, cornerstones of the industry, historic instruments in thier own right. The Fender 65 Twin Reverb Guitar Combo Amplifier was one of these instruments. To accurately recreate the tone of an original '65 Twin Reverb, Fender went right back to the original schematics, original parts (even original vendors when possible) and started making the amps again.

The Fender '65 Twin Reverb is a 2x12 inch, 85 watt, all tube amp that gets its tone from a total of 10 tubes, including tube driven reverb and vibrato. It also includes a pair of upgraded Jensen C12K ‘Vintage Ceramic’ 12-inch, 8-ohm speakers for a solid, straightforward tone. The C12Ks are true powerhouses, with strong and bold mid-range frequencies. As you ramp up the overdrive distortion, they will power right on through with consistent sound anchored by bold and heavy lows. The Fender '65 Twin Reverb is an authentic reproduction of the original amp to ride the wild surf, one of the all-time hall of fame amplifiers. Clean as you want it to be with a tone fatter than the butcher's dog.

What is your opinion of this product?
Great amp! Classic Fender sound. This is the best clean sounding amp I have ever owned. Extremely sweet tone. Sounds just as good with a few stomp boxes hooked up into it. Great looking amp. Worth every penny.

A great amp
What is your opinion of this product?
Fender knows what it’s users want....that tone and that reverb. I know a lot of what “that” is depends on the player too, but with this amp - you can never blame the equipment.

My favorite amplifier ever
What is your opinion of this product?
I've owned numerous tube amplifiers from ranges like Vox, Marshall, HiWatt, and Fender. As a club player and music enthusiast the Fender Twin Reverb has always been my all around favorite- you can play anything through it and it doesn't freak out if you combine it with racks and/or effects chains. I recently bought this '65 Reissue Twin Reverb Amp and was thrilled to find that it has all of the power and clarity of its predecessors. Even unaccompanied with external preamps and extra speaker cabinets, you can fill any space from your garage to a city college amphitheater with impeccable sound. On the Vibrato Channel, this amplifier very impressive tonal variety ranging from dull and muted to the very brightest chimes imaginable- with or without middle. The reverb and vibrato adhere to Fender tradition and I find them preferable to every such pedal I've ever owned. I would highly recommend this one to any player who wants a workhorse amplifier that delivers full, rich sound and tone.

Expectations Exceeded
What is your opinion of this product?
I'd been eyeballing this amp on several sites for several months. It's expensive compared the solid state Mustang 3 I bought when I first came back to electric playing; but that amp, while a great value for the money, left me wanting in the warmth and tone department. This amp corrects all those deficiencies and everything about is a win. I bought it as a scratch and dent for a substantial discount and for the life of me, I can find neither scratch nor dent anywhere on this amp. It's almost as lovely to look at as it is to play through.

Worth Every Penny!
What is your opinion of this product?
Fantastic sounding amp, I own a SF twin, but this one sounds so quiet and has no issues with pedals. I love the retro look of the blonde/wheat combo, in fact at the same time I purchased this I also purchased a blonde/wheat Princeton Reverb! If you're thinking about it, get it!!
