    Product Description

The Custom Shop LE Artisan Spalted Maple Strat instrument is a beauty to behold—a culmination of sonic perfection, passion and purity of design, with classic Fender at the core. With its intricate color pattern and alluringly strong grain, the Artisan Spalted Maple Strat is an eye-catching example of the Fender Custom Shop’s art. Equal parts work of art and functional instrument, this guitar lets its exotic mix of roasted alder, spalted maple, roasted AAA birdseye maple and African blackwood do the talking, blazing forth with sonic and visual character.

Custom Shop LE Artisan Spalted Maple Strat Unique Features

    • Clay Colored Dot Position Inlays
    • Single “Wing” String Tree
Three hand-wound Custom Shop ’60/’63 single-coil Stratocaster pickups—including a RWRP middle pickup—provide authentic vintage-style tone, with all the pristine highs, punchy mids and robust lows that made the Strat a legend. Vintage Modified Strat #2 wiring adds even more sonic variety, connecting the middle pickup to the first tone control and adding our Tone-Saver treble-bleed circuit to the master volume control, ensuring your tone remains unchanged when reducing the instrument’s volume.

Other features include a lightweight two-piece body with nitrocellulose lacquer finish and WLS undercoat,’63 Strat “C”-shaped neck profile, 9.5”-12” compound-radius fingerboard, six-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge, gold hardware, 21 - 6105 frets, gold anodized pickguard, bone nut and wing string tree. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.

For the Artisan series, the Fender Custom Shop pushes the envelope in the name of art and still remains true to its roots. Artisan series instruments are custombuilt masterpieces, outfitted with special appointments and features unlike any other Custom Shop instruments. Yet with vintage design touches, the foundation and spirit is authentically Fender.
