A highly collectible guitar, the Custom LE 1957 Heavy Relic Strat guitar was hand-selected by us at the invitation-only Fender Custom Shop event at 2018 NAMM. This instrument represents one of a very limited number ever made with this set of features. Perfect for players in search of superb tonal versatility, light weight and vintage worn-in feel, this Custom Shop guitar is a study in sonic contrast and balance, with built-in mojo and style to spare. Includes an engraved “Limited Edition” neck plate, Certificate of Authenticity and deluxe hardshell case.
The 2018 Custom Limited Edition 1957 Heavy Relic Strat guitar is finished in Nocaster Blonde flash coat nitrocellulose lacquer. The lightweight ash body has received a Heavy Relic treatment that shows natural wear and tear of years of heavy use, nicks, scratches, worn finish, rusty hardware and aged plastic parts. The one-piece maple neck is quartersawn for strength and responsive tone with a ‘57 Style Soft “V”-shaped back profile. The 9.5” Radius maple fingerboard has 21 6105 frets to assure modern playability. Other premium features include a set of three Handwound ‘57 Strat Pickups, 5-Way Switch, Bone Nut, Deluxe Hardshell Case, Strap, and Certificate of Authenticity.
Each Custom Shop Limited Edition instrument is only available for a short time, which makes it eminently collectible and adds to its investment value. Crafted with many features reserved only for certain artists and masterbuilt instruments, they are just what the name says they are: highly anticipated limited edition models that go very quickly.
