Plays and sounds very good, but...

Product Review

I sent the first one back. Very poor quality control. Its like they hired summer help to sand the bodies or something. Grind marks deep into the wood. You could see the shape of the sanding wheel. Replacement was better but still not even close to what is expected. By any manufacturer That aside, it is a decent enough bass. The neck is great and it sounds really good. But really Gibson? Whats going on? The QC is embarrassing. Shameful even

Don't waste your time

Product Review

The 2017 Eb looks way better in pictures. I was hoping for the best but took a chance and got the worst. I opened the box and found the strings at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch off of the fretboard. Normally not too much of a problem as a quick adjustment of the truss rod and bridge does the trick. Well in the case of this one, The truss rod screws could not be taken out without prying the cheap thin piece of plastic they call a cover while unscrewing. I didn't dare do this figuring I would break it and then not be able to return it if the issues were bigger because I damaged the cover. Gibson should be ashamed of themselves for putting out an instrument at this price level that feels worse than a $100 no name bass. Once again, I took a chance on Gibson and they let me down. Maybe this will wake me up the the once iconic brand name because all they are is a name. Now it's just about money and not quality. RIP Gibson

I just got it today. Perfect right out of the box. All I had to do is tune it! I've always been a huge Gibson bass fanatic. This is already my Main bass. LOVE IT!

Gibson Quality!

Product Review

Great playing and sounds great. Push pull pots are awesome, along with a swamp ash body makes for superior tone and lightweight so it's easier on the back! Just wish Gibson made a hard case for it.
