    Sort of a let down
    Product Rating
What is your opinion of this product?
On the positive side, it feels and plays great. On the negative side the pick-ups are not that great, okay but not great. Somehow it feels cheaply built. It for lack of a better definition, feels like a Squire versus a Fender. Color isn't what I expected, regardless of what it says it is a dull white, if there's a Gold Mist it's a Fool's Gold Mist, meaning it isn't there. But don't get me wrong, for the money it is a great guitar, I love the neck, very fast and smooth. I think when I replace the pickups with a set of Seymour Duncans, it will be a beast to behold. Oh and the strings were crap, once I put a set of Hybrid Slinkys on it, it sounded sweet, very rock n roll. The Bridge is just okay, I may replace it too. But if you're looking for a good practice guitar or a Starter, you can't go wrong, it plays better than a Squire or an Epiphone. All in all it is worth the money.

    Nice affordable guitar
What is your opinion of this product?
A very nice guitar for the price. I have had mine for abut 5 months at the time of this writing, and have had no issues. The neck has a comfortable feel and aside from needing to be tuned, played well out of the box. The weight is well balanced and makes for a lighter feel. The biggest shortcoming that I have is the single volume and tone controls. An excellent buy for a musician on a budget.

    not great
What is your opinion of this product?
I've had it a couple of months. it's unplayable because the neck is coming apart from the body . you can actually see the glue line. The bridge is a joke. What happened to gibson QC

Awesome guitar at a good price
What is your opinion of this product?
This is my first Gibson guitar. I've played bass and guitar for 20 years and I routinely play bass at a 700 person venue. I ordered this honestly because it said Gibson on the headstock and it was something I could afford. The finish on mine is great, there were no flaws. There was a little bit of adhesive gunk on the neck that came right off with my fingernail. The tuners are unbranded but they are sealed and work well. The neck on mine is quartersawn. The frets where done well. The nut was cut well but the material looks like cheap plastic. I'll replace this eventually. The bridge on mine does tilt forwards a little. I have read complaints about this several places online. My guitar still has a nice low action even with the tilted bridge but be aware this is something that seems to be an issue with these guitars.

Better than expected at the price!
What is your opinion of this product?
Lightweight yet heavy sound machine - good tone options & impressive sustain, with pretty good finish in this price range; set-up straight out the box was excellent. This is one versatile & usable guitar where you don't pay over-the-top pricing for the venerable Gibson logo. I love playing it; the balance is good, so even my 7yr old can handle it, & of course is wowed by the funky shape! No regrets. Fast shipping, bag included - what's not to like sub-$500???

    Not so great, move on
What is your opinion of this product?
This guitar is a mixed bag. Horrible bridge that tilts and won't allow you to lower the action enough. Frets are rough and not dressed at all. I have $100 chinese guitars with nicer frets. The neck is really nice, but mixed with everything else not so great. The nut is awful and won't allow the guitar to stay in tune. I waited too long, otherwise I would return this guitar. Sound is ok, tuners are ok, finish is ok, electronics are from Korea.

You Get What You Pay For Plus a Gig Bag!
What is your opinion of this product?
I picked up one of these as a scratch and dent and my thoughts are mixed. I love the price that AMS had it for and the condition was actually pretty good. The guitar is small. This feels like an Epiphone Les Paul Special II weight wise and size wise. The finish is pretty good for the price but where it shines is the Dual Slug pickups. I did a comparison last night between the Firebird Zero, a 2017 Gibson M2, 2015 Gibson LP Studio, 2016 Gibson SG Faded, 2014 Gibson SGM, 2004 Fender Showmaster HH and a 2014 Fender Jazzmaster HH through a Laney Cub with a 2x12 Laney Cab and sound wise, the Firebird Zero held it's own for clarity and tone. It was better than the Jazzmaster, way better than the M2 and even better than the SGM however it was not as good as the LP Studio or the 2016 SG Faded. The guitar is so light, it almost feels like a toy. My back appreciates it but the weight/size definitely impact the tone and sustain. Not perfect but well worth the price.

    The Gamble Paid off!
What is your opinion of this product?
Certainly was a bit skeptic...A USA made Gibson for an Epiphone price, but I must say "WOW!!" Here's the short and dirty: **Neck - Fast/easy to play. Easy access up the neck. Needed no adjustments out of the box *Tuners/keys - First day i had to keep adjusting the tuning but once the guitar got acclimated it stays in tune fine. **Weight - This has got to be the lightest Gibson I own (I have 17 other Gibsons including solids and hollow bodies and this baby is light) **Pick-ups/tone - Also impressive. Nice fat chunky sound when you want. A little natural dirt, but that's ok by me. **Color/finish - Reminds me of an old color Ford had on their late 60's Mustangs. Nice contrast between the light neck and blue. No flaws in the finish. **Shipping - FAST 2 days. **Over-all I am VERY pleased with the purchase and used it out on a gig the day after it came.
