    Product Description

The Firebird V 2016 HP re-defines one of Gibson’s most revolutionary electric guitars for a new generation of demanding players. It keeps its legendary neck-through-body construction, while adding an entire set of exclusive premium and high performance features. A new and exclusive fast-access heel, developed specifically for the Gibson USA High Performance lineup allows unprecedented access to the high notes - which, combined with a SlimTaper neck profile and new soloist neck width, effectively makes it the fastest-playing Firebird ever made.

Titanium metal for the saddles and the adjustable zero-fret nut delivers a bright, crisp tone, while being virtually indestructible and ensuring total, personalized control over the action. A pair of mini-humbuckers deliver classic Firebird tones, while genuine mother-of-pearl inlays add the final touch of class to a Firebird that flies higher than ever.

Gibson 2016 HP Firebird V Features

    • Next-Generation Gibson G FORCE Tuners
    • Sturdier, noiseless toggle switch
    • Titanium saddles
    • Firebird mini-humbucker Pickups
    • Soloist neck width
    • Mother-of-pearl dot inlays
    • SlimTaper nine-ply neck-through-body construction
    • Gold plated multi contact jack
    • Fast-access heel
    • Titanium adjustable zero-fret nut
Gibson USA’s wider soloist dimensions and fast-access heel make this the fastest bird you’ve ever played. Gibson’s titanium zero-fret nut drops action as low as you’ll dare to go, and it’s all perfected by a precise Plek treatment and hand-finished final setup.

The archetypal neck-through-body construction with a nine-ply neck and body core and mahogany wings presents the reverse-body Firebird’s legendary depth and sustain. A pair of Firebird Mini-Humbucker pickups present an outstanding blend of power and clarity, while a titanium nut and titanium bridge saddles allow it all ring like never before.

A thicker one-piece fingerboard with hand-rubbed oil finish, G-Force tuners, genuine mother-of-pearl inlays, improved knobs and plastics, and an exclusive labor-intensive hand-applied process for a smooth high-gloss nitrocellulose finish all add up to superior quality for optimum looks, feel and tone.

    Horrible Balance.... Stay away! UNPLAYABLE!
    Product Rating
What is your opinion of this product?
Absolutely terrible balance to the Guitar due to the g-force nonsense. Adds so much weight that you'll be supporting the guitar with your fret hand instead of playing it. Shame on Gibson for not having an alternative to correct this huge flaw in an otherwise perfect guitar.
