    Product Description

Lean, stripped-down, and ready for action—this is the essential Les Paul that boosts the sweet roar of the single Classic ‘61 humbucker with an array of the signature HP series features, with no unnecessary clutter to get in the way of your riffing. A new and exclusive fast-access heel, developed specifically for the Gibson USA High Performance lineup, allows unprecedented access to the high notes - which, combined with Gibson’s new soloist neck width, provides the fastest and most comfortable Les Paul neck you’ve ever played.

Titanium metal for the saddles and the adjustable zero-fret nut delivers a bright, crisp tone, while being virtually indestructible and ensuring total, personalized control over the action. Play it. Rock it. Love it.

Gibson USA’s High Performance soloist neck width and fast-access heel make this no-nonsense rock machine superbly playable. Action goes as low as you can take it thanks to an adjustable titanium zero-fret nut, and a precise final Plek and hand setup assures astounding performance.

The time-tested tonewood combination of mahogany and maple generates legendary Les Paul tones. The single Classic ’61 pickup in the bridge position is made with an Alnico magnet and 42 AWG wire in the image of the hallowed PAF humbucker for deep, rich, yet clear tone which is further enhanced by a satin wraparound ‘lightning bar’ bridge and titanium nut.

A thicker one-piece fingerboard with hand-rubbed oil finish, G-Force tuners, genuine mother-of-pearl inlays, improved knobs and plastics, and an exclusive labor-intensive hand-applied process for a tactile satin nitrocellulose finish all add up to superior quality for optimum looks, feel and tone.

What is your opinion of this product?
I bought this more out of curiosity than anything else. I was intrigued by the new features and thought I would see what the fuss was about. Other than the G-Force tuners, I can't say I noticed any huge difference in tone or playability. This is a straight ahead, plug and play guitar. It is VERY light which is great, but the tuners make it a bit neck heavy. That would be my only qualm. The G-Force is a neat toy that while not necessary, has me playing in more tunings than I would otherwise. The pickup is fine (a little weak for my taste as I prefer EMG) and should make most people very happy. The neck is somewhere between a slim and a fat; comfortable middle-ground.
