This is a beast of a guitar!
Product Rating

Product Review

The Les Paul BFG is a pure beast! From its unsanded topto the aged neck it just screams “play the sh*t out of me!” The bridge pickup is rock to metal and the neck pickup is great for bluesy stuff. This guitar is very versatile and can do anything.

Hopefully the replacement will be better

Product Review

Upon unpacking the guitar i noticed the strings were lying on the fretboard. I used the bridge to bring the action up slightly after tuning. I used a notched straight edge to confirm back bow in the neck and there was no tension on the truss rod. It already has 10-46's on it so, back it goes. I understand this is an entry level Les Paul but how many quality guitars can you get in this price range that are way better out of the box? It's getting hard to justify buying a Gibson.

Should be the "UFG"! I Like it!

Product Review

I ordered this guitar based on its looks. Needless to say when I opened it up, I almost just as quickly packed it back up and sent it back. As soon as I plugged it in I threw out the cardboard and decided to keep this ugly thing. It sounds hot! Now the looks grew on me again and go hand in hand with the sound. I love how light it is! Only real complaint is the dots. Who ever thought it was cool to leave the dots off of the fret board, needs to stop and go back to playing drums.

It's another Gibson fail...

Product Review

It came fom the factory with corroded 9-42's instead of 9-46's, and it was setup poorly to boot, very poorly. New 9-42's didn't fix the problem. Raising and lowering the bridge didn't fix the problem. Adjusting the trus rod was futile, no sweet spot with 9-42's. Another Gibson fail out of the box. I'll try and set it up with 9-46's. If that don't work, 10-46's. If it don't sync up at 10's, this one's coming back. Either way, this was my last Gibson purchase! ...corroded 9-42's on a new Les Paul??? lol. It took a luthier 3-months to get my J-15 right he calling the setup from the factory "juvenile". The Firebird One ended up as wall art after a good initial experience. The SG 24, it took a long time to get that one to sync up, the wood...too fresh, but it's curing and playing nice now. I'm done, enough is enough with Gibson. I got no more time to waste on this ...%rap.

So glad I made this purchase

Product Review

I was a little hesitant in purchasing BFG Thinking that it might be worth spending a little more and getting a Les Paul studio- I am so glad that I didn’t let that stop me from purchasing - The playability of the guitar is identical to the studio versions but the look of the BFG is The playability of the guitar is identical to the studio versions but the look of the BFG with the worn and barely finished items - has quickly become one of my favorite guitars and the one that gets a great response from people when I bring it out
