    Product Description

The Les Paul Studio Gothic is back! Featuring a Mahogany body and carved Maple top, a set Mahogany neck and a super-slick Richlite fingerboard and a slippy black GraphTech nut. Fitted with Grover tuners, the black nickel hardware really sets off the look. The electronics comprise a pair of the legendary Dirty Fingers pickups- these are accurate replicas of the famous super-hot humbucker introduced by Gibson in the 1970s.

Appropriately named, the Gibson ‘Dirty Fingers’ pickup is manufactured with three powerful ceramic magnets to produce massive output for in-your-face output without compromising the original tone of the guitar in any way. The pickup’s overwound yet balanced coils also feature adjustable pole pieces, which allows you to fine tune the output of each individual string. Very limited production, includes fitted hardshell case.

What is your opinion of this product?
To sum it up, I give this guitar a 10 based on this price point. About me, I have been playing for 29 years and have a vast collection of very high end gear. This thing rocks! It has a modern slim neck according to Gibson's customer service. The frets are more like a fender's medium jumbo, instead of the more common, flat top style Gibson uses. The Richlight fretboard feels just like ebony. The body is slightly thinner than a les Paul standard, but still pretty heavy. It definitely has a hotter and darker tone. I noticed the neck position getting a bit muddy with distortion. I may throw some Duncan's in her. I am using a Marshall Silver Jubilee and the Friedman be100. See my review of the Marshall on this site. Overall I think this guitar is amazing for the price! The fret job is impeccable along with the fit and finish. The set up from the factory is also to be commended. I am thinking about buying another one.
