    Product Description

The Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar features great, useable additions never before seen on a Les Paul Studio from Gibson USA. The Les Paul Studio continues to offer the tonal power and unparalleled quality and playability that first made the Les Paul Standard legendary 60 years ago. All that, and the Gibson Les Paul Studio’s stripped-down look and feel still brings it in at a remarkable price!

The classic tonewood combination of a Mahogany body, solid carved Maple top and Mahogany neck are still there, along with the acclaimed Gibson set-neck construction for optimum resonance and sustain. To top it off, the Les Paul Studio guitar has a pair of Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers for the perfect marriage of power and depth, with push/pull coil splitting for versatile single-coil tones.

Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar Features

    • Mahogany body with Solid Carved Maple top
    • Mahogany neck with slim, fast ’60s-style profile
    • Coil-tapped 490R and 498T humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge
    • Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece
    • TonePros vintage style tuners with 16:1 tuning ratio
The Les Paul Studio’s lack of frills like body and fingerboard binding doesn’t mean it misses the mark where tone and playability are concerned. Like the most revered Les Paul Standards of all time, the Gibson Les Paul Studio starts with the legendary tonewood combination of a mahogany body with solid carved maple top.

Together, these woods offer outstanding tonal depth and richness from the mahogany, with superb clarity and snap from the maple. The updated modern weight relief in this guitar’s mahogany body enhances resonance while also reducing the guitar’s overall weight considerably.

The glued-in solid-mahogany neck on the Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar is cut to the superior ‘quarter-sawn’ grain orientation for excellent strength and optimum resonance transfer between neck and body. The neck is now carved to a slim, fast ’60s-style profile that measures .800 inch deep at the 1st fret and .875 inch at the 12th, and is topped with a rich brown fingerboard made from granadillo.

The guitar has a PLEK-cut Corian nut, and, to further maximize vibrational energy, Gibson includes its legendary Tune-o-matic bridge and stud-mounted wraparound tailpiece, with high-quality vintage-style TonePros tuners up at the top.

Plug in the Les Paul Studio through your amp of choice, and its superb blend of tonewoods and hardware rams it all home through Gibson 490R and 498T pickups. Made with an Alnico II magnet and coils wound to the specs of original PAF humbuckers, the 490R in the neck position provides creamy, warm tones with outstanding articulation. Made with an Alnico V magnet and extra turns of wire for added punch and grind, the Gibson 498T in the bridge position excels at wailing leads and thundering crunch tones.

To increase the guitar’s sonic versatility exponentially, the Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar now includes independent coil-split switching. Pop up either pickup’s volume control to access a new frequency tuned coil tap for a fatter single coil tone and better output balance, with hum canceling when both pickups are combined, and low-noise operation when used individually.

    Can't Beat a Les Paul
What is your opinion of this product?
I was impressed from the moment I opened the case and started playing. The finish was impeccable and the 60's neck plays like a dream. For anyone wanting a Les Paul, without the several thousand dollar price tag, you won't be let down by this guitar.

Gibson USA has done it again !!!
What is your opinion of this product?
I absolutely love this guitar. Being an owner of some early 90's Gibson Les Paul's, I have always been skeptical of the newer models with the weight relief and the use of Granadillo for there fretboards, I am blown away at how this guitar has become my favorite guitar. My 90's Les Paul I thought was superior until now!!!!

    Worth Every Penny
What is your opinion of this product?
It has been 30 years since I had a Les Paul Studio; and as soon as I tuned it up and hit a few licks I remembered why I always wanted one. The sound and feel is something I have never felt with any other guitar.

What is your opinion of this product?
Completely love this guitar. From the looks to the action, the feel to the tone, it's a 6-star guitar. It took me until now (53 years old) to get a Gibson LP, and it was well worth the wait. I've always owned high end Epiphone LPs and was always satisfied...until now. Pop this thing into an amp on clean, and you'll not hear a sound - no buzz or hum. Just clean pickin'. Drive it, and it'll shred just fine. Can't say enough about it. Very, VERY happy with this guitar. Oh...and as always, American Musical Supply was a total pleasure to deal with.

An absolute steal for what I paid
What is your opinion of this product?
This guitar is up to Gibson's reputation. It has that Gibson Les Paul sound with an added crunch, and the split coil is something I never tried in a Les Paul. After I adjusted the bridge to my taste and the truss rod apparently for travel (I live in FL), this guitar is extremely playable. Normally I use .009's and it came with 10's but it is easy to bend strings even with the 10's. The finish is impeccable. This has to be the most beautiful color of all Les Paul Studios. I am very pleased with my purchase. I am not sure if you will find it as cheap as what I paid (less than $1,000) but if you do run to buy it, you will not be disappointed.
