What is your opinion of this product?
I have been playing guitar for almost 3o years and I own many guitars, 7 of which are Gibsons. This is my first Gibson with a satin nitro finish. If you are used to a gloss nitro finish this guitar will feel very different at first, but at the same time feel very comfortable. I really do like the shape of the neck. Very light weight, controls are simple, pretty versatile tone. Baked maple fingerboard looks and feels very nice. I also have a Gibson LP Deluxe with mini humbuckers, these do not sound as crisp as the LP but I'm sure the maple cap on the LP is a factor regarding the difference but I'm also aware that these mini humbuckers have been redesigned as well. Still, good bang for the buck, wish it came with a hard case instead of the padded bag.

Set up pretty much perfect right out of the box. Plugged it in, made a couple of minor tuning adjustments and started playing. Shipping was lightning fast and the price could not be beat. Superb value, quality and service.

Amazing!
What is your opinion of this product?
I was expecting this guitar to be a bit rough since it had been sitting in a box for a few years but to my surprise when i opened it the action was perfect, strings and intonation were perfect and it just sounded beautiful. As a lefty player our pickings are slim and this is a definite must buy if you are a sg fan.

A Sleeper of a deal for a great little no frills guitar
What is your opinion of this product?
The Gibson SG '70s Tribute is a great deal for a USA made guitar. I was unimpressed with a first play. I put it away and went back to my Gibson Les Paul Traditional. After sitting a day, I decided to give the axe another play. I have to say I found myself saying "this is a great little guitar!" The mini humbuckers are clear, crisp, and fit nicely between the LP and a Fender American Standard Stratocaster. At first, I was not enamored with the maple neck. Fit and finish is not an issue. No fret buzz, no sharp frets, well made. Perhaps not the prettiest to look at... with that said, looks really do not matter when an axe can sing like this SG '70s Tribute. I was so impressed, I decided to spring for a new 2017 Gibson SG Standard. The latter was equally well made, and much nicer to look at, but when it came to tone, the '70s Tribute was far more pleasing to my ear. I so much wanted the SG Standard to be even better - aside from looks - well, let's just say I am sending it back for a refund (from another dealer). Pick up one of these little sleepers while you still can...
