The Limited Edition the Paul is easy to play, comfortable, and sounds great!
Product Rating

Product Review

I really like the Limited Edition the Paul! The contoured, thin body makes it very comfortable to hold. The satin finish allows you to move your hand freely on the back of the neck. The action came set very low, but with no buzz. The neck is wide, which works very well when picking. It is thick enough to hold on to, but not so thick that you can’t play it with small hands. The finish on this guitar is very beautiful. It is it’s simplicity that makes it so. It is no frills, but has everything a guitar needs to produce outstanding sound. The brown, satin walnut finish looks amazing! It reminds me of an older mahogany acoustic. The older they get, the better they look and sound! Age and normal wear add character to these guitars. The Sound of the Paul compares with any Gibson. The mids and highs are very clear and accurate. The bass is substantial. It is not overly boomy, like some guitars. The volume and tone knobs are in the traditional spots are are easily to get to. The toggle switch is conveniently located just above the knobs. The Paul comes with the nice Gibson brown case, with pink lining. It hugs the instrument well and has a nice, padded handle. The latches are sturdy and the case closes tightly. Overall, the Limited Edition the Paul would be a perfect choice for the guitarist who wants a guitar that sounds great, is comfortable, easy to play, and looks cool! It is also very affordable, since you get the same excellent pickups and hardware that come on more expensive models. The included hardshell case also adds significant value. Buy it and play it!

I love it, brings back my youth

Product Review

This The Paul is awesome, takes me back to my last year of high school. As I took on more responsibility in my 20s I had to sell mine. WOW this Paul is awesome. The all walnut 2 piece body and 3 piece walnut neck with rose wood fret board are the perfect combination and the satin finish makes this thing play like butter. I couldn't put her down when I opened the box an I played her until late into the night. The pickups provide a wide range from screech to blues this thing rocks and rolls. Don't pass you chance to get this The Paul into your hands and the 18 month payment offer makes her affordable to all. Dont wait they wont last.

One of my best Guitars!!!!

Product Review

I love the body contours of this Guitar it makes it easy to wear and play. And the Walnut is out of this world beautiful. I really can not find one negative thing to say about her She's from Nashville what more can you ask for. She's a Gibson with 490 pickups that sound great and can sound as sweet as a puppy or as mean as a junk yard dog. you can't go wrong with Gibson's 2019 The Paul it's well worth the money and above Gibson standards of fit and finish. get one today!!!!!

My new favorite guitar

Product Review

After a long wait and checking all over the web , I finally located one of these amazing guitars. I ordered it as soon as I confirmed they have one in stock and waited by the door for delivery. I quickly open the box to find the wrong one. One the phone once again and was assured the correct one was on the way with overnight Saturday delivery. The box from Gibson had the wrong label on it. The guys at American Music Supply were the best, double checking and contacting there wares to assure the correct guitar was in the box before shipping again. My Paul arrived in a beautiful Gibson hard case and excellent condition. Setup was right on and the sound out of it was all you could ask for. Sustain is unbelievable, I am sure due to the beautiful satin finished Walnut wood. I can’t say enough about this guitar or the folks at AMS for their dedication to customer satisfaction

Gibson up's its game!!!

Product Review

I have been critical on Gibson lately, as I have purchased a number of high end guitars which were, shall we say, less than expected. I didn't expect much on this lower end The Paul. But I must say, in the past few months Gibson seems to have really tightened quality control. This 'The Paul' is perfect. The fit and finish is flawless. I owned several these in the 1970's when they first came out. I liked them, but sold them over the years. I had been looking to get another, but most were beat to crap. When Gibson re-released these this year I jumped on it, again not expecting much based on recent experience. This one is every bit as good, and far more so than the originals. The neck is smooth, thin and sweet. The frets are perfect, the balance is even, the tone is killer and the finish is flawless. It is a perfect 'working man's guitar' suitable for those gigs where you don't want to bring your $3000.00 Firebird...ahem... I could not be happier with this guitar, and am very impressed.

Bare bones workhorse

Product Review

The guitar was heavier than I anticipated. Mine comes in right at 9lbs 6oz. Has a a darker tone the bridge pickup doesn’t have the bite of a les paul nor the loose tone of an explorer or sg. It is still pretty clear sounding. Not a spongy bass response. I own around 10 gibson guitars and it is truly unique among them. Stays in tune well. The three piece walnut neck seems stable. Good sustain. Uses the circuit board electronics. But was cut high and did not match radius of the fretboard but that was an easy fix. It was also missing one of the fret markers along the edge of the board but I went ahead and repair that myself as well.

40 years later i bought my second "The Paul"

Product Review

I bought my first "The Paul" in 1979 and have used it as one of my main guitars for the last 40 years! it was refretted twice and was getting to the point where it will need a new finger board if it will be able to be fretted again. I was delighted when i saw Gibson had reissued this guitar,I bought one sight unseen and i am very happy with the quality, it is just as good if not better than the one i bought years ago.so for anyone looking for a quality Gibson at a great price, and a guitar that will stand the test of time. Give the 40th anniversary "The Paul" a try you wont be disappointed!
