  • Richlite Fingerboard
  • 16" fingerboard radius
  • 25 1/2 " Scale
  • 1 11/16 " nut width

The A6 Ultra has that full tone of a Godin humbucker in the neck position, along with an under-saddle transducer, dual outputs (acoustic and electric) that combine for a huge sound and a Custom Godin preamp section voiced specifically for the A6 Ultra. This preamp section gives a player the chance to control their tone via sliders for acoustic volume, treble, mid, bass and independent controls for the electric humbucker volume, treble and bass.

Whether plugging into the single acoustic mix or via both outputs, controlling your tone is at the tip of your fingers. And the A6 Ultra delivers in all styles of music from jazz to rock to country and not to mention a great blues slide guitar

Couldn’t be happier
What is your opinion of this product?
This is a four instead of five star review because I’ve not yet explored the A6’s dual input capability. If it’s as great as the rest of the guitar, I it will earn the fifth star. The A6 was a gift from my wife, but I’d been looking at it for months. My primary guitar has been a Taylor CE410. I love it, but back and shoulder strain have been making extended playing somewhat difficult. 3-hour gigs are typically followed by 3AM ibuprofen. Yesterday, I played my first gig with the A6. The light weight and thin body are winners. No shoulder or back pain! In this regard, the guitar gets an A+. I achieved a sound I’m really happy with by opening the acoustic volume to almost full and the humbucker volume at almost 1/3. I’m running the board into a non-powered Alto mixer to An powered Alto Trouper. The guitar loves reverb. I got happy with the sound with large hall reverb about 60% The sound isn’t fully acoustic or electric. All I can say is it’s really cool. I love it.

Took awhile, but I love it!
Your general opinion of this product.
I was looking for a guitar that had a feel of an electric and the sound of an acoustic. Found this one with the Koa top used in a local shop. Tried it in the store. So-so sound, but action and neck felt great. I left it there and thought about it overnight. Went back, tried it again, still felt terrific, but sound was fair. Came home without it and did some research online. Went back again and bought it on a 'trial' basis. Plugged it into my gear, tweaked it out and it is in one word 'phenomenal'! I love it. Does exactly what I wanted it to.
It is an exceptional instrument. I looked it over from top to bottom, inside out, and TRIED to find a defect so that I would have a reason NOT to buy it. Binding, wood, neck, electrons, all top notch. Made in Canada and USA, and every bit as quality as those other USA guitar makers. Solid, well made and well thought out. Finish was perfect.
It has the neck feel of an SG, the body feel of a Telecaster and the tone of anything you can think of. Stereo outputs to split the piezo and the hum bucker, dual controls, perfect balance, not too heavy, neck and frets impeccable.
Took a little trial and error and about 2 hours of fooling around with it, but I can get everything I need out of it. A nice acoustic guitar sound from the UST and a nice Les Paul sound from the hum bucker. Blending the two can make any sound in between, and even a tele sound with some adjustments. The hum bucker is much hotter than the piezo, but with just a touch of hum bucker blended with the piezo, makes a SWEET acoustic sound.
I bought it used, but there is no way to adjust the bridge, it is fixed ala acoustic bridge. The action was perfect though, and is a joy to play.
Flawless. Like a mirror. I would have preferred a high gloss finish on the back of then neck, but that is just my preference. The rest of the guitar is super high gloss and not a flaw anywhere. Binding and all fittings really well done.
Too new for me to tell, but it seems solid and worthy of a professional who uses it for a living. I am disappointed at the quality coming from another well known guitar maker whose name begins with Gib... so I decided to try something completely different than I ever had before, and this Godin made me a believer in guitars other than the 'big three'. Well done, Godin!
