A wonderful bass for a novice or a pro!

What is your opinion of this product?
I like simple things. Extra bells and whistles aren't a big draw for me, especially with basses. Give me a volume and a tone knob and I'm good. The electromatic junior is an outstanding bass. It was delivered quickly and well packaged. Only needed a few tweaks to set it up. The tone is all rumble with some punchy high mid tones. It's a heavy guitar, not as heavy as a Les Paul but some may have an issue with that. Fit and finish are top notch, the tuners are smooth and the paint is awesome. I highly recommend this bass to anyone starting out or even if you've been playing a minute. You won't go wrong with it!

"Man, this bass is sweet."
What is your opinion of this product?
My opinion is.. Dual Humbucks, Tri-tone, with "Slinky" 105's. (its a must). the look, with "immediate" exceptional feel, ....Sh_ t! I don't even own one yet! lol. but i will tomorrow..people ,this little bass is "da Sh-t" a "must Have" trust me. Like that Squire Modified 70's jazz.. its no joke.

I read the positive reviews and was skeptical. They were telling the truth!
What is your opinion of this product?
Bassist for 50 years, never owned a bass under $1,000, but even with the cheap strings, this bass can do it all with the 3 way toggle switch. Most short scale basses are weak on the E string, but not on this little gem. I can make it sound like a Fender, Gibson, etc. and hooking it up to my Boss ME-50B has convinced me to use it onstage. Very impressed.' So, if you're hesitating about buying this bass, Don't! The sales reps at American Musical are superb, too.

This is a good bass
What is your opinion of this product?
I ordered one afternoon and it was in my hands the next morning. I have never had anything delivered that quickly. The sound of this bass is what I have been missing in so many of my others. This is the sound I have been needing. Good low, rich bass for the Motown sound and older R&B tunes. The selector switch offers three different tones depending on the pickup blend. I am totally satisfied. It reminds me of my Gibson EBO from the late 1960's. But I am sure younger players can dial in a tone they like too.

Unbelievably IMPRESSED!
What is your opinion of this product?
I purchased this way cool-looking "cheapie" Gretsch to be used as a backup bass while waiting for a replacement for a broken part on my rather expensive custom Carvin LB70 bass. I wasn't expecting much at this price-point, and the whole "Made in China" thing... but WOW! WHAT a great bass! I was extremely worried because as bad luck would have it, the thing ended up shipping out of Reno on the two hottest days of the summer when temps exceeded the 100-degree mark. It arrived yesterday on-time, and triple-boxed so the temp extremes weren't so crazy. I let it acclimate for a few hours, then tuned it up and took it to band practice. Holy cow, even with the really crummy strings that everyone says you need to replace first-thing, it sounded great and played like an absolute DREAM right out of the box! Strings were a bit dirty on my hands (big deal), but WOW, oh WOW, do I ever LOVE this thing! It will now be my main bass, and my fancy Carvin that cost almost 10x as much will be my backup. :)

You really can't beat it
I see no future issues.
It's simple design.
The neck pickup is great. I like it with the bridge on as well. Not a huge fan of any bridge pickup solo'd
This is the best part of this bass. It feels great and is very easy to play.
Couldn't get better
Action and intonation had to be adjusted slightly. I did put high tension flatwounds on right out of the box so that was more than likely the culprit.
