What is your opinion of this product?
The Guild D55 is one of the finest guitars ever made. Everything about it is perfection -- the design, the materials, the workmanship, the sound. The D55 is stunning, radiant with its nitrocellulose finish on the rare and beautiful woods. It's fitted with pearl inlays, bone, metal and perfect bindings. This musical instrument is soulful and alive with a spirit that can only be Made in the USA . The guitar even smells woodsy and hypnotic. A feast for the senses. The alligator case and its appointments compliment the elegant package. My guitar was magnificently setup and ready to play. The guitar has sweet haunting highs and lows that project, fingers glide along the ebony fretboard. This guitar can be played as soft as an angel whisper or as loud as a battle cry. You just want to bond with it... be a better player. I own the sunburst which makes me incredibly happy just to see it but to hold it and play it is a transcendent experience. The Guild D55 is worth the price and more.
