Product Description

A striking 7-string electric guitar, the guitar’s asymmetric, Poplar Burl top creates a sense of depth, motion and beauty reminiscent of the bluest, most placid waters of the sunlit Caribbean. Pitted against a layered ash body, these woods combine to create a bright, almost otherworldly color scheme. The RGDIX7MPB brings a unique new air of exotic elegance to the Iron Label series.

Ibanez RGDIX7MPB Iron Label Electric Guitar Features

  • 26.5” scale Nitro Wizard-7 3pc Maple/Bubinga neck
  • Poplar Burl top/Layered Ash body
  • Birdseye Maple fretboard
  • Jumbo frets
  • Factory Tuning: Down a full step
Working from the philosophy that playing comfort translates into speed and articulation, the RGDIX7MPB features a gorgeous, Birdseye Maple fretboard mounted on a 26.5” scale 3-piece Maple/Bubinga Nitro Wizard-7 neck that both enhances playing agility and optimizes tonal clarity. The acclaimed Ibanez Gibraltar Standard II-7 bridge improves sustain and provides faultless intonation. Specifically developed for this guitar through close collaboration between Ibanez and DiMarzio—Fusion Edge 7 pickups have been engineered to produce a powerful, distinctive tone with crisp, cutting, high end, and a tight, compressed bottom end, minus any muddy mid-range. Ready for metal, the RGDIX7MPB ships from Ibanez, tuned down a full step.

The RGDIX7MPB presents yet another reason why the Ibanez Iron Label series is winning over new die-hard converts every day.

With the growing popularity of the Iron Label series, Ibanez continues to tap the seismic underworld for inspiration. Working their famous RGD body shape from the “chassis” up, the RGDIX7MPB is a stunning creation of unique beauty that adds a new dimension to the brand’s no-frills “made-for-metal” lineup.

What is your opinion of this product?
This thing is a beast. Not like an angry zombie elephant, but more like a majestic unicorn on a rampage! It's got a solid tone and wicked feel. Every guitar looks a little different because of the burl top but mine turned out to be amazing. These fusion edge pickups are also awesome, not swapping them out. Great for all facets of metal and have very high output and super tight attack. The locking tuners work great, gotoh has made a great first impression on me with this instrument. Even though this guitar is pretty bare bones I don't feel like it needs more features. It does what you'd think it does and it does it WELL. Ibanez 7's never fail to impress.

Spectacular guitar. Spectacular price!
What is your opinion of this product?
The Iron Label series by Ibanez (In my opinion) is one of the best series out there right now. The Ibanez RGDIX7MPB in Surreal Blue burst falls nothing short of the high praise for these guitars. One very important area for me when picking out a Guitar is the neck, and this guitar features a comfortable 3 piece Mable/Bubinga Nitro Wizard 7 Neck with a Bird’s Eye maple fretboard. The Poplar Burl topped Ash body sounds amazing, has great sustain, and has a bright sound to it. The guitar honestly plays and sounds as beautiful as it looks. (And it looks even more beautiful in person btw). Now as far as the DiMarzio Fusion pickups are concerned. I’ve always been a huge Seymour Duncan fan and I’ve honestly been super happy with the stock DiMarzio’s. I have no plans of swapping them whatsoever. The locking tuners keep this beautiful beast in tune. All in all I give this Guitar a 10/10. Doesn’t need any mods. Just a setup and you’re ready to sound awesome.

What is your opinion of this product?
Bought this two weeks ago, and honestly have not out it down. I own several high end America guitars, however this bad boy has become my primary guitar. Love the action its smooth like butter. Pickups are excellent, I will keep them for sure. Substain for days with direct mount pickups and fixed bridge. This guitar is not only astecially pleasing it plays just as good as it looks.

Great Guitar
What is your opinion of this product?
This guitar was set up to play, right out of the box. I was going to replace the pickups w/ BKP's, but after hearing the stock Fusion pickups, I'm not so sure. They're tight and crisp. The only reason I'm not giving this guitar 5 stars is because of blemishes in the wood. The lower horn is almost a completely different color than the rest of the body. I'm not happy with it, but it appears to be a cosmetic flaw in the wood.

Wonderful!
What is your opinion of this product?
I am a new guitarist, just learning,, and I wanted this as a compliment to my acoustic. I think I might as well start the 7-string asap rather than wait, and I really love the sound of the down tuning. Pickups are great, very clear sound, with a clear distinction between the neck and bridge positions. Comfortable neck, absolutely stunning appearance. Everything about this is 5 stars. I bought a "dent and scratch" model here at considerable discount - and I got it now without having to wait months - and I see no dents or scratches at all. Great deal.
