Product Review

I have been looking for an affordable medium scale bass and Ibanez delivered! The active electronics let you dial in a variety of different tones with ease. I was pleasantly surprised by the playability of the neck. Great bass for $300!!

Product Review

I absolutely love this bass.... I've played guitar for a few years now, and figured a bass might be fun.... the scale makes it a nice fit.... not really long... but not a micro either.... in the short time I have had it I have zero complaints.... while I'm still a guitar player.... I LOVE THIS BASS!!!

THE COLORS ARE VERY NICE I GOT SEAFOAM GREEN PEARL AND THE PICKGUARD IS VERY GOOD QUALITY. THIS BASS IS FUN TO PLAY IT'S SO LIGHT AND DONT CHANGE ANYTHING ON THEM THIS IS A 32 SCALE WHICH IS JUST WHAT YOU WANT. WHILE THEY STILL HAVE THESE I PLAN TO GET A FEW MORE AND STOCK PILE THEM.

Ibanez SR Mezzo SRMD200

Product Review

It was with great anticipation that I first saw that Ibanez had started making a 32" scale bass. Upon seeing these, I had to try one out. Ordered one and once it arrived, I set it up to my liking with new strings and a bit of neck adjustment to eliminate some fret buzz. Not too much effort to make it playable was needed. Now the gig test! I used it on two gigs to really see what it could do. The pickups in this little guy are quite hot with way too much brightness. I had to roll the active highs completely off and attempt to add just a touch of the lows to get an almost usable sound (with a lot of outboard EQ help}. Adding lows on the bass itself only gave me a distorted muddy sound. One of the "selling points" of this bass is that it is "fun to play". personally I wasn't having much fun fighting the bass to get a good sound! The neck is very thin and takes some getting used to. On the plus side, very lightweight bass! It is usable 'as is" but with a lot of EQ help.
