    Product Description

Soloist is Jackson`s number one guitar. Also, it is arguably the most popular Soloist/Superstrat guitar out there, though it faces ever more fierce competition each year. Its X level models offer Jackson`s famous build quality, no frills design and high quality hardware and electronics.

SLATHXSD 3-7 Soloist kicks off with a basswood body with a quilt maple top. Running through the body, 3-piece maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top completes the frame of this ferocious seven-string. Trans Red with glossy finish and black hardware is the only color variant available at this moment.

Seymour Duncan`s seven-string Blackouts (AHB-1) with the standard controls unit, sturdy string-through bridge and Jackson`s own die-cast tuners (4+3 arrangement) form the hardware/electronics section.

    Buyers Beware
    Product Rating
What is your opinion of this product?
Jackson makes a quality product. HOWEVER, Jackson is one of the only manufacturers that doesnt set up their guitars at the US facility. WHAT THIS MEANS: 1. Truss rod, which holds the neck still, is loose inside the guitar. 2. The bridge comes flat, which means the guitar wont stay in tune. 3. The strings are not tuned. What this also means is that if the truss rod is not tight inside the guitar, it is prone to breaking as the neck warps to temperature changes. My Jackson came with a twisted neck and a broken truss rod. You might get lucky and get a guitar that isnt broken.. but in that case, make sure that when your guitar arrives you take it DIRECTLY to a guitar shop and have it set up, because if at any point your guitar isnt laying flat, and you put any kind of stress on the neck without a tightened truss rod, you WILL bend the neck and break the truss rod. This is the manufacturers fault. I will be sending mine back and choosing another brand that sets their guitars up at final assembly.

    Great guitar. Doesnt come w/case
What is your opinion of this product?
I just received this jackson. First impressions are is great. Well made and a absolute beauty. The neck rivels the ibanez nitro/wizard necks in size and flatness. I found it to be buttery smooth. Very light, half the weight of my agile interceptor 7. The pickups are great. 1st time with the active blackouts and all i had to do was dial my gain back and it sang and slayed. The only negative i had was that it says it comes with a case. So i bought it thinking that. It however did not come with said case. I called ams customer service and was told that they had not updated there web page yet to reflect. The guy that helped me was very nice but said they would deduct $71 from my next payment. At least they did something but, my guitar is still caseless. If it wasn't as nice a guitar i would have sent it back.
