    Product Description

Loaded with purebred Jackson DNA, the Soloist SLXT is built for speed. Modern metal players insist on expressive instruments that can crank out mud-free chords and rhythmic riffs, cutting through dense mixes like a razor.

    Jackson Soloist SLXT Features

    • Basswood body
    • 1 Piece Maple Neck
    • Dark Rosewood fingerboard
    • Duncan Designed HB-103 Humbucking pickups
The Jackson Soloist™ SLXT features a basswood body, through-body maple neck with graphite reinforcement and tilt-back scarf joint headstock, and a 12"-16" fully bound compound radius dark rosewood fingerboard (with 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays) that curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out.

Duncan Designed™ alnico HB-103N (neck) and high-output ceramic HB-103B (bridge) humbucking pickups power this metal beast, which also includes three-way blade switching and a Jackson® compensated and adjustable string-through-body TOM-style bridge.

I've been a long time Jackson fan. I own 2 USA Jacksons and a Japanese dinky. I bought this guitar in hopes of upgrading it as a project guitar. And I really wanted a red soloist! I figured I would probably have to return the guitar if it had any defects. From my experience a guitar at this price point usually has a lot of quality control issues. When the guitar arrived, I was shocked to see it was a very well made guitar! The frets were level with no sharp edges, the binding had no issues, For example I've noticed sometimes the nut slot can be cut sloppy and the binding will be damaged by the headstock on cheaper guitars. The rosewood was very rich and dark, while keeping that distinctive rosewood color. They did a great job on the finish too. I could not find any defects at all. No runs or tiny debris under the clear. Gorgeous color. The guitar played great right out of the box. The hardware all worked fine, and the Duncan designed pickups actually sound pretty good, a little muddy though. I purchased mine to customize, so I replaced the pickups, bridge, and the plastic nut. All simple upgrades. The Jackson bridge and nut are good quality, but I wanted to install all high end components. Now this guitar plays VERY similar to my USA models. Not sure which factory in Indonesia is making these for Jackson, but they are doing a stellar job. High quality work similar to the Korean factories. I also recommend checking out Jackson's pro series. Very nice guitars!

Awesome guitar! Right out the box plays pretty decent, but take it for a good setup either way. Nice Duncan Designed pick ups also.
