Product Highlights

Product Description

Packed with enormous Jackson sound and hyper-fast playability, the CBX IV QS bass was designed in conjunction with David Ellefson of Megadeth. The highly acclaimed bassist David Ellefson added his personal touches to this 4-string beast of a bass.

Jackson David Ellefson CBX IV Bass Guitar Features
  • Basswood body
  • Maple neck
  • Rosewood fingerboard
  • EMG HZ35 active humbucking pickups
  • Jackson High Mass bridge
Redesigned ergonomic contours provide the perfect platform for launching a musical assault— the upper contour provides a comfortably stable anchor for pick or fingerstyle playing alike while the lower contour provides perfect balance when propped on a knee for monitor stands. The Jackson HiMass 4-string bridge sharpens your notes’ attack for extra punch and clarity, granting enhanced sustain without significantly altering the bass’ fundamental tone.

An earth-shaking pair of EMG HZ35 active humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge positions provide plenty of girth and cut as an active 3-band EQ bolsters their native power, shaping and refining it for maximum impact and versatility. The blend knob allows you to mix the pickups to your taste—add more of the neck pickup for a touch of warmth, or bring up the bridge pickup for more cut. Designed for highly technical lightspeed playing, the 12”-16” compound radius rosewood fingerboard flattens out as you move up the neck for increased playing comfort and speedy articulation.

This bass proudly displays Jackson’s distinctive style; all-black hardware, including everything from the bridge to the Jackson die-cast sealed tuning machines, durable gloss finish, pearloid sharkfin neck inlays, single ply white neck binding and Jackson’s signature pointed 4-In-Line headstock along with an engraved “Radiation” logo and Ellefson’s signature embossed on the truss rod cover. Only one instrument is hardcore enough to keep pace with Ellefson’s technically demanding requirements—the Jackson David Ellefson CBX IV QS—and now it can be yours.

Product Review

I’ve now had this a little over a month and after several shows this is now hands down my favorite to play. The set up was spot on, the tones from these EMG’s are beautiful. I love the new positioning of the control knobs. In short, this bass is beautiful and just kicks ass. Quick shout out to AMS. I ordered a TSA gator case along with this bass and AMS put the bass with the goodie bag in the case. What great customer service.

Product Review

This bass sounds as good as it looks. The neck feels great and it plays awesome. Love the hi mid low feature. I am not a live bass player but I do write and record bass. Well worth the money in my opinion.
