Product Description

The Krank Krankenstein 100W Tube Guitar Head is an all-tube, hand wired circuitry with brilliant tonal innovations designed and voiced by Dimebag Darrell himself!
Dime knew what he wanted in an amp and he knew what he wanted out of an amp. The Krankenstein is that amp. Based on the flawless circuitry of the 100 watt Krank Revolution amp head, the Krankenstein features a Dime modified Kleen channel that’s warm and buttery with the hint of breakup that Dime required to get his classic clean tones. To the already gain soaked overdrive channel Dime added an overall Master Volume control (so you can trainwreck the channel master volumes into the overall Master volume), and a level control on the effects loop.

This 2-channel, all-tube, high-gain monster is loaded with four premium Sovtek 5881 power tubes and four premium Electro Harmonix 12AX7 preamp tubes. Dime also matched the Krankenstein head to the Krankenstein 4 X 12 solid wood touring cabinet with blacked out steel grill and Eminence Texas Heat drivers.

Krank Krankenstein Head Features

  • Krank EQ sweep on the Dime distortion channel
  • 4-Premium Sovtek 5881 power tubes
  • 4-Premium Electro Harmonix 12AX7 preamp tubes
  • Kleen and Dime channels with separate volume and 3-band EQs per channel
  • Selectable 4, 8, and 16 ohm speaker output
  • Line out
  • Push/pull series effects loop with volume control

Can't go wrong with Dime Sig!!!
Product Rating

Owned this amp for a couple years and have not had one single functional problem. I took it all over the U.S. from MI, to CA and it is as durable as the come. Purchase one and haul it around, you will see what I mean.

Your general opinion of this product.

I have owned my Krank Amps Krankenstein Dimebag Series Guitar Amplifier that I pruchased from AMS, since 2009. Overall the sound is hostile right out of the box, would recommend adding some MXR eq,and a noise gate but other than that I can knock some windows out with the power of this amp!

Brand New.

No problems whatsoever.

I was pleasantly surprised. I only wish it had some reverb.

Krank up the Krankenstein

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
Very well constructed, made for the road. I know I can depend on it anytime I need it. If taken care of properly, it will probably out live me. I couldn't really find anything on it that I didn't like.

FEATURES:
All the features are great. I like the fact that I can control the volume on the clean and distortion channels with the master volumes. The footswitch makes it very easy.

EASE OF USE:
This amp is very versatile, yet, simple to use. I was able to dial in all the tones that I wanted with ease. Very simple to set up.

VALUE:
I would say that this amp is worth every pennie I paid for it. They,re not cheap, but definetly worth the money. If I had to buy another one, I probably would pay more for it.

SOUND:
Best sounding amp I have ever heard. The clean channel sounds amazing, crystal clear, with a tiny hint of breakup. The distortion channel is the best sounding distortion I have ever heard

The ULTIMATE Metal Amplifier

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
Built like a Mac Truck made of steel used in Battle Tanks.......

FEATURES:
The second master volume on the Dime channel and the independent volume for the effects loop are wonderful, and the sweep feature coupled with the insane amount of gain on this thing makes it untouchable by the competition in metal amps. And this thing is LOUD bust out the ear plugs.

EASE OF USE:
If you can turn on a light switch you can use this Amp.....

VALUE:
A little expensive but still cheaper than a top of the line Marshall or Mesa and ten times the amp either of those brands even make.

SOUND:
I've been playing professionaly for 4 years and tried them all to get that super metal sound you hear on recordings live, Marshall Mode Fours and TSLs, Jcms, and Mesa Boogie Triple and Dual Rectifiers, you still need rack or floor effects with these, but this bad boy you just plug into and wail, its gain is INCREDIBLE you'l

Krankenstein will rip your face off and then some!

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
This amp is one of the best made that I've seen in a long time. The knobs are all high quality the tubes are top of the line...this amp has all top notch products in it. I expect this amp to last me a very very long time.

FEATURES:
One of the best features is the dual master volume's on the "Dime Channel" allowing you to switch by footswitch from a rythym to a solo boost without affecting your tone. The footswitch is included. The amp does not have any reverb in it. The effects loop has a knob in the back to boost the effects into your signal.

EASE OF USE:
I had this thing peeling paint of our studio walls within 5 minutes of having it out of the box!! Sit down with it for a few minutes and you will get some DIME KICKIN tone out of this baby.

VALUE:
The head is a bit pricey, however with the tone I now have...it was worth it. I would get another if I lost this one somehow.

SOUND:
The gain in

Send your Marshall to a museum

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
It's a Brick as far as I can see, looks great and rugged

FEATURES:
Best features are the brutal tone to classic overdrive to clean channel. Worst feature no pedal to switch channels and no power plug?

EASE OF USE:
It's an amp?

VALUE:
compared to the 1987xl Marshall I bought I would say it is 10 times the amp, that would make the price aroune 16,000 dollars , so I guess I got a deal. Still would of liked a plug and foot switch

SOUND:
Smokin"
