Nice unit, junk software
Product Rating
What is your opinion of this product?
I'm happy with the unit, it provides nice sound from my guitar processor, without latency using freeware software for recording. I was unable to activate or use the cubase software at all, their links and activation utilities are useless. I'm disappointed because thats what drew me to this unit, but the unit is better than the useless software. Be prepared to use your own recording software if you buy this!!!

Not up to expectations
What is your opinion of this product?
Not going to work for my needs. Poor latency issues.
Very difficult to understand the software. As for just plugging into the computer to play without recording is ok.
Not at all. Guess you get what you pay for. Would return but basically by AMS's policies I can not since it electronic gear.

Works as expected! I got 2 thus make Double Interface 4X4 USB !!
What is your opinion of this product?
Simple, EZ to setup and configurate Audio USB - Alplha ASIO- interface. Sound great with Studio powered monitors, Cubase LE 5- old version Disk included with the hardware. No +48V phantom but maybe it is an advantage to the 2 noiseless A/D converters. Thanks for the reasonable price. I got 2 units.
AMS Responds:
Most easiest to set up- 2 minutes and it is ready to record. 2in+ 2out- two sampling rates - 16 0r 24 bit works well with PreSonus Stuidio One 2 DAW.
AMS Responds:
input preAmp loud and clear. almost noiseless.
AMS Responds:
Cheapest Audio USB you can get but works for my Studio.

This is my second one
What is your opinion of this product?
I use this one at church, as an interface between the mixer and computer. I have another one at my home studio, mostly to interface with a set of JBL studio monitors. They do their job as needed, with no issues. I highly recommend these as a simple and basic interface. The bundled CuBase LE5 is a nice adder.
Setup and use is obvious. No need for a manual.
In and out volume controls are a must, but are omitted from some competitive interfaces.
I know of no other interface which can match the value of this one, as long as only 2 channels are needed.

Don't bother with the instrument input
OK within limitations
Microphone in is nice but the instrument in doesn't work well---low volume
For any real recording of an instrument, you need to go line in from an amp. The instrument in is useless.
Your general opinion of this product.
Not a plug and play recorder that is that easy for one person. You really need another person to operate it while you play and sing.
Not really worth it when I have a Zoom H2 and a Line6 GX which are better and easier to use, plus the Acid Pro I had is better than the Cubase LE
Looks OK

Great for my home studio!!
The lexicon alpha is built nicely, the metal casing feels sturdy, tough, & reliable.
It has all the features I need for recording my guitar and vocals, I opt'd for this design because all I needed was a guitar input & line in for a mic, and then just throw on my headphones right from the alpha and ready to record perfect quality tracks.
This thing was pretty much a breeze to set up. Though installing cubase was a hassle, I tried it & didnt like, so just went back tomy other recording software, it picked up the alpha fine & with this I experience NO latency issuess (even on an older computer), which is great becasue my past line 6 ux1 had bad lag.
Increible value for what I needed. As long as you know how to use your recording software & lexicon controls, you get perfect sound out of this thing and I see no need to buy anything more expensive for quality, only for more inputs/etc.
I like the colors, the matte finish on the metal is nice & i love the lexicon logo on the top.

Great, basic, portable mixer.
I love that this product comes with a copy of Cubase LE, although I wish it hat a Midi in/out.
I'm having a little trouble getting Cubase to recognize this along with all my other midi, etc. but I'm sure
A portable, USB-powered mixer with microphone, instrument and line in, along with Cubase LE? Sign me up!
Looks great. It doesn't scratch easily, and looks very professional.
