Product Description

Made in EnglandMarshall Speaker Cabinets
The only choice for serious musicians. Nothing compares to Marshall cabinets in terms of awesome tone and projection. Both visually and aurally, Marshall 4x12 cabs are indeed the business!

Great sound and looks however are not everything. Many years of experience mean that Marshall's speaker cabinets are also built to stand the test of time. Marshall's highly skilled craftsmen construct them from the finest quality materials with precision corner locked joints, tough cotton backed PVC covering, heavy duty hardware and the highest quality fittings.

The Marshall Stack
If one thing personifies the image of rock 'n' roll more than anything else it's the Marshall 4x12. Though often imitated, nothing compares with the original. The first 4x12 cab was designed and built by Jim Marshall in 1962. Since then Marshall has made many thousands, which have appeared on stages both large and small all over the world.

After the initial success of the Marshall 4x12, it wasn't too long before Marshall designed and built the first stack, where an angled cabinet sits on top of a straight fronted cab, with the amplifier placed on top. This came about after discussions with Pete Townshend of The Who. Pete and Jim Marshall sat down and discussed The Who's requirements for an 8x12 cab with an angled top. This was designed and built, but due to this awesome cab being somewhat cumbersome, only six were ever made.

As a result, Marshall came up with the more practical idea of stacking an angled cab on top of a straight fronted model. Thus the famous Marshall stack was born. What happened to the six 8x12 cabs do we hear you ask? Well, two went to Pete Townshend, two went to John Entwhistle and the remaining two went to the Small Faces. The Marshall stack on the other hand has stayed in production ever since and has gone on to become the most recognisable rock 'n' roll icon.

As they literally invented the stack, Marshall 4x12's are the only true originals. Everything else is merely an imitation.

Stereo and Speaker Options
To ensure the ultimate in flexibility, four of the standard 4x12's are switchable from mono [4 or 16 Ohms] to stereo [8 Ohms per side]. These are the 1960A/B and 1960AV/BV.

All of the stereo/mono 4x12's are perfect for use with stereo rack systems.

Heavy duty castors are fitted as standard to all Marshall full size 4x12's to ensure that these cabinets are ready to roll without rocking.

No sharp metal edges or rough fittings - the smooth ABS plastic Marshall corner fits perfectly and offers excellent protection to all eight cabinet corners.

Marshall's highest quality woodwork includes the corner locking of each and every joint. This helps give Marshall cabinets the incredible strength and durability which has become as legendary as the Marshall sound itself. Heavy-duty Grab Handles are fitted to all Marshall cabinets. Their tough, ergonomic recessed casing design gives easy access to the bar of the handle without affecting the cabinet's smooth lines.

Best 4X12 Angled Cabinet on the Market
What is your opinion of this product?
Purchased this Cab to complete my Marshall Stack system with my JVM 210H, and to increase the volume and presence of my sound on stage for large Auditorium venues, I got more than I expected with this speaker system, it has carried into new creative dimensions with the tones & resonance it allows me to produce using my Pro Strat & 53' Les Paul Gold Top. From Jazzy clean leads to crunchy rock and even hard metal, which I thought I'd never play, this cab has been my ticket to a world of music with incredibly colorful tones.

Fantastic cabinet
What is your opinion of this product?
This cabinet delivers the classic Marshall sound. I've plugged in my DSL100HR head into it and also the DSL40C. Both sound fantastic at low and high volumes. It has a very responsive sound range and is my favorite cabinet. I've owned many others over the last 40 years but this is my favorite.

Best cab ive ever played through. Has a really good low end response and doesn't get muddy. So much more clarity than I've been used to over the years.

This cab is the next step and then some
Its a Marshall. Look at the stacks the next time you go to a good concert.
I haven't had much time between purchase and now but I know that it would take a lot to get this amp to break down.
Your general opinion of this product.
I bought this cab because my band is ready to get serious, dump the combos and make a statement with our music and image. When this cab slid out of the box it began screaming quality with its solid appearance and that killer Marshall logo that tells everyone from expert to passerby that you are a real guitarist.
Feels like the quality I paid for.
The elephant skin is nice and seems like it will resist tears. The corners are reinforced with metal covers so when it goes on the road, a bump won't start compromising the box structure. My only concern is keeping the cover over it when I'm not using it so my cat doesn't go after the grill cloth as she has on my mini carpeted electronic drum amp. She turned a nice black carpet into a bad afro.
For a cab that weighs almost 100 ponds I was the one doing the action. This beauty has wheels though so one you get those on its plug and play.
