Product Description

Equal parts classic design, iconic tones, and forward-thinking innovations, Marshall has pulled out all the stops with their new Origin Series of heads and combo amplifiers! The Marshall Origin ORI20C is a 20-watt powerhouse combo amp ready to anchor your guitar rig. It delivers two distinct sounds from separate preamp voicings - normal and high-treble. These sound designs are heavily influenced by the two channels of the legendary 1960s Marshall Plexis. Blend these two sounds to taste by using the Origin’s new TILT tone blend control knob. Setting this control at 12 o’clock will give you a perfect mixture of the two tones.

Marshall Origin ORI20C 1x10 20-Watt Electric Guitar Combo Amplifier Features

  • 20-Watt all valve (tube) combo
  • Switchable high, medium, & low power output section (20, 3, and 0.5 watts respectively)
  • TILT control knob – blends bright & normal sounds inspired by the iconic Marshall Plexis
  • 10-inch Celestion V type speaker
  • 3 x ECC83 preamp, 2 x EL34 output section
  • Classic Marshall Design
The Marshall Origin Series ORI20C is a classically voiced single-channel amp that generates rich and harmonic tones. The single 10-inch Celestion V is the perfect speaker to broadcast these sounds that are 100% Marshall. This amp is fitted with three ECC83 tubes in the preamp section and two EL34s in the power section, simply turning up the gain knob will add plenty of organic Marshall crunch to the your tone. Do you want to ratchet things up even further? Pull the GAIN knob to engage the clean boost for even more tonal saturation and body! The Marshall ORI20C is also equipped with standard bass, mid, and treble EQ control knobs so you can dial in your sound with even more detail.

Another new feature of the Marshall Origin Series ORI20C is the switchable high, medium, and low power section for an output of 20, 3, and 0.5 watts, respectively. That means you’re getting a versatile amp which can easily be used in the practice room, recording studio, and most live performance venues – it’s like owning three different Marshall amps for the price of one! Best of all, you’ll retain the EQ, Gain, and Boost characteristics of your sound even after switching to a different power level. That means you won’t have to make drastic changes to your settings!

The minds at Marshall know that today’s guitarists are always looking to incorporate a variety of pedals to their rig, so they didn’t rest until the Origin Series became the shining example of what it means to be a pedal-friendly amp. It doesn’t matter if you’re using a couple of effects or running a comprehensive setup, the Marshall ORI20C allows you to explore new possibilities and craft the perfect guitar sounds.

Sounds like the real thing- because it is

What is your opinion of this product?
All I can say is Wow! I expected ‘plexi-like’ but it’s impressive as to how well this little guy gets the job done. And I love the built in attenuator. I can crank it at a gig and practice at home. If you’re on the fence jump off and buy it! You’ll be pleased you did.

Sounds fantastic
What is your opinion of this product?
I really do enjoy this amplifier...only have two issues. 1. The mesh panel makes it hard to access the tubes. 2. When I turn the full power switch on I hear a buzzing sound when the volume is cranked up.

Amazing amp, pure Marshall tone in a bedroom-sized combo!
What is your opinion of this product?
This amp is fantastic! Legendary Marshall tube tone in a combo amp with a great look. The power switch is perfect for practicing your chops in the bedroom while still retaining that legendary tone. The tone controls provide a lot of EQ flexibility, and the tilt knob lets you easily blend classic Plexi-style channels to your desire. Adjusting the Gain and Master knobs lets you balance your volume needs with your gritty needs, though this amp doesn't really get dirty. It's a GREAT pedal amp. I'm currently using a Boss Super Overdrive and a Walrus Audio Ironhorse Distortion pedal and getting all the tones I want. There's no reverb built-in, so a reverb pedal is on my shopping list next. I'm not regularly gigging, but I don't see why you couldn't gig with this amp. It gets plenty loud, it doesn't weigh a ton, and it's tone is incredible. For where I'm at and what I'm doing, I couldn't ask for a better amp.

Big sound in a small box!
What is your opinion of this product?
I have been playing music since high school and at fifty three years old I still manage to squeeze in over one hundred gigs a year on top of my day job. This amp is something I have wanted for quite a while. Small package, low wattage with great tone, and both channels are amazing! The dirty channel has the sweet sound of the older Marshall amps, and the clean channel will absolutely surprise you, as it has all the twang and punch you would ever want when playing a Tele or Strat through it, and the boost switch puts your solos right out front. I like the 10 inch speaker, but I run it through a 2x12 cab for a bigger sound and it rivals my vintage JCM 800, minus the ear splitting volume of a 100 watt amp. If you are thinking about getting this amp,do it because you will not be disappointed.

Best combo qmp
What is your opinion of this product?
For the wattage that it is for the money that it cost the tones that you can get from this amp or way better than the price point. If you want that vintage Plexi or Marshall bluesbreaker tone this is it. Put your pedals in front of it or run them through the effects Loop and you got all you need. Add a 12in you can play Anywhere with this amp

Way Beyond worth the money
What is your opinion of this product?
Ok I will keep this simple. First after 55 years of playing guitar and countless amplifiers it's amazing to me that I discover this particular amp so far down the road. 1) For a 20 watt combo amp this model delivers such a balanced tonal range in any of the clean modes. When you want pure valve breakup, you get it. Either with the boost switch or put it in the high power mode roll your guitar volume down to play clean and roll it up for sweet creamy pure overdrive. 2) Not very heavy in weight to carry around. 3) you can play about any venue with it. Bigger rooms, use the DI out in the back to feed the FOH board or your bands PA system. 4) Put it on a good amp stand that sits high enough to be near your head or torso and you can hear it fine even over a moderate playing drummer. 5) Small clubs or church gigs more than enough on it's own. 6) The Celestion V 10 speaker sounds real good out of the box, give it time to break in and it should be outstanding. Buy it you will not regret it

Poor mans JTM
What is your opinion of this product?
I love it! I’ve always wanted a JTM but couldn’t afford one. I really think Marshall done great job with these amps they sound amazing cranked and also make a great pedal platform I recommend the 20 for home use I have a friend who has the 50 he gig’d with it on the 1watt setting and was told he was to loud so definitely the 20 for home use how ever the 50 does have lil more head room for pedals

Killer tone options at a great value!
What is your opinion of this product?
Wide range of sounds. Easy to operate. Bed room to small club level amp(without proper mic or DI usage/with proper usage I’d say it’s appropriate for any sized venue). Very impressed Marshall! The Origin Series is an incredibly versatile, and very “original plexi” sounding group of amplifiers. I love the Origin20 for its size and mobility.
