Amazing sound for the price. Punches way above it's weight class. Rated it 5 stars due to the great sound and ridiculously low price. Recommended!

Not as great as I'd hoped.

Your general opinion of this product.

I bought the MXL 770 for live stage use but it may be better suited for recording. Even with a feedback eleminator, we have a problem with feedback when we get the levels up where we need them to be. Tried the different setting with the attenuator switch and the bass roll off switch and it didn't help. With one setting we had virtually no volume , with other settings, we had echo and feedback at very low volume settings.

Yes.

Somewhat difficult to use. The manual was no help at all. Doesn't tell you anything about the use of the bass roll off or attenuator switches. Could have used some info there.

See the above remarks.

Great mic

Ive had it for a month now and so far its still standing like I just bought it.

The base roll of feature does wonder. Its a great mic all around though.

Very easy to use just plug play and record.

Very clear an warm sounding.

Great Mic For Any Price!!!

I don't care what I paid for it, this is a fantastic Mic! I've had quite a few mics I've paid more for in the past and haven't ever been happier with a purchase.

The 770 has all the standard features you'd expect from a studio condenser. The tone and depth this mic captures is definitely its best feature...honestly, it's up there with the best!

Plug it in, (if your going to blast an amp into it) flip the -10DB swith, (if your going to get a lot of rumble of your mic stand) flip the base roll off switch.

The MXL 770 has a bright tone...comparable to the ADK Vienna AK8...I prefer a bright mic that I can cut through the mixer rather than a dark sounding mic where the frequencies are just not there to play with.

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
This mic is really nice if you know what you need it for. Great for vocals or any recording needs, but my advice, if you want good sound from it get better recording software. Spend $100 bucks or more to get that clear sound.

FEATURES:
The low cut and high cut buttons are pretty nice, but the mic really doesn't have any serious features

EASE OF USE:
Well i have the lexicon omega for it, which is a $300 amp, very good sound

VALUE:
Oh yea! Look, don't just buy it 'cause of the price. Why spend a lot more $$$$ to get that good sound if you just have a home studio? Now, if you have a bigger studio than that, spend the extra money

SOUND:
smooth clear on vocals when played back after recording
