    Product Description

Own an American classic! The Martin D-28 dreadnought acoustic guitar introduced the world to large-bodied guitars more than 85 years ago and still reigns supreme.

Celebrated for its powerful resonance and volume, the Martin D-28 is equally at home in the studio, living room or on the stage, with a gorgeous dreadnought body that produces a strong bass response without diminishing the clarity of the treble strings.

With its sturdy Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the D-28 is crafted from the same premium tonewoods as its luxe cousin, the D-45, but at a more modest price point that puts it well within reach. Other features include a mahogany low-profile neck with the classic Martin volute at the headstock joint, an ebony fingerboard, a polished gloss finish and reliable Schaller M6 chrome tuners. Each instrument also comes with a Martin molded case and the C.F. Martin & Co. Limited Lifetime Warranty.

First issued by C.F. Martin & Co. in 1931, the D-28 revolutionized the acoustic guitar world and quickly became the standard against which other guitars are judged. Its full-bodied sound has been favored by artists as far-ranging as Hank Williams Sr., Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, David Gilmour, Tony Rice and Beck.

There’s a reason the Martin D-28 tops many players’ choice lists year after year. Its rich bottom end and warm trebles pair up to create a singular musical statement. Fingerpickers will find plenty to love in the D-28’s buttery action, but it also strums with a big, open voice that players can push hard when they need to. Whether you’re looking for a bass cannon for your bluegrass outfit or a creative partner for your next songwriting project, the Martin D-28 is your obvious choice!
