For 175 years, the Martin Guitar Company has been continuously producing acoustic instruments that are acknowledged to be the finest in the world.

About Martin Guitars
The Martin Guitar Company has, through the years, managed to survive with each succeeding generation from C. F. Martin, Sr.'s Stauffer influenced creations of the 1830s to recent developments introduced by C. F. Martin IV. Continuous operation under family management is a feat bordering on the remarkable, reflecting six generations of dedication to the guitarmaker's craft. In or out of the music industry, C. F. Martin has few rivals for sheer staying power.

Throughout its colorful history, the company has adapted successfully to continual changes in product design, distribution systems, and manufacturing methods. In spite of the many changes, C. F. Martin has never veered away from its initial commitment to quality. The concern for producing the finest instruments possible in 1833 is especially in evidence today at Martin's expanded facility in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

great little guitar
What is your opinion of this product?
Bought this for my 14 year old daughter for Christmas. It is a really nice sounding and playing "little" guitar. She is proud to be Martin owner.
Looks to be very nice quality. Gig bag is a plus. Fret board feels great. Nice smooth fret work. Electronics sound great.
Plays great right out of the box.
Sounds amazing. Nice well balanced sound. Great tone from electronics also. Sounds full and rich.
Finish looks great.
Plays great. She couldn't believe how well it played compared to her other cheaper name brand guitar. Well worth the price.

Electronics & Martin Customer Service Lacking
The Little Martin guitar seems to be structurally well made; however, none of the electronics in the guitar I ordered worked (including the input jack). The guitar also seemed to have a tuning issue.
I cannot speak to how the Little Martin would hold up over time because the one I purchased was inoperable upon receipt.
Your general opinion of this product.
I love the sound and feel of the Little Martin, but am extremely disappointed in Martin's level of customer service. The Martin repair facilities were weeks out on repairing my "new" guitar that I received for Christmas and the Martin factory was over 10 weeks out on repairing it. Upon calling Fishman, the makers of the electronics, they told me to take it to my local music tech and pay to have the electronics removed to send back to them. Once the defective electronics were received by Fishman, they would send out replacements and I could pay to have them reinstalled. I was even told by the Martin factory that the high-end guitar took priority over my "new" purchase. Thank goodness AMS has a return and refund policy! I will never purchase a Martin again.
The guitar was very solid. From an acoustic standpoint it was enjoyable to play; however, I could not test the acoustic electric capabilities.
From an acoustic standpoint, the Little Martin sounded as good as my full-size.
I loved the look of the Little Martin.
The guitar needed to be set-up

Easiest guitar i have ever played and dont see ANY reason to not last a long time!
Been playin the beejesus out of it...so far...so good!
Your general opinion of this product.
I'm AMAZED at the huge sound if this little beast...right out of the box! Very easy to play! Fingers don't hurt when playing for long periods. Love the small scale! ABSOLUTELY IMPRESSED!
Neck seems a little heavy but not worth complaining about...SUPER ALL AROUND!
Excellent tone! Can compete with larger guitars with NO problem!
Great look!
Smooth, quick and easy. Fingers flow like water on it.

This is a REAL guitar.
It is a real Martin, total quality.
Just got it, but it feels solid.
Your general opinion of this product.
Amazing workmanship, added bonus was the built-in tuner, and embroidered Martin bag.
Plays great all over the neck. It has new strings so they'll have to smooth out a bit.
Tone is bright un-amped. Tone can be changed with amp EQ. Pickups are fine.
I like the plain-ness of it.
Action is fine, and there are instructions on how to change the action.

Love to take it everywhere kind of guitar
As with all Martin guitars..the craftsmanship is unbeatable.
I've only had it since Christmas but so far it has passed the test.
Your general opinion of this product.
I love the compactness but do not sacrifice sound with this guitar. It's a take anywhere kind of instrument, small and light enough to take it hiking, camping, or just sitting around on the deck.
I have not really plugged it in as I really just like to grab it and play. Makes me wonder why I even bought the Acoustic Electric, but decided it was because I have a Baby Taylor acoustic travel guitar already.
Overall I think this guitar's tone is somewhere in the middle. It's an acoustic electric so the pickup's are hidden inside.
Flawless and cute
Awesome right out of the bag, since I bought this at a music store. Actually bought it for someone else but decided to keep it and buy a second one to give away.

Little Martin - Big on Sound
Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
Body is made of a composite material similar to formica. It appears to be more durable than wood and requires less care. Great guitar for travel. Material contributes to sound quality.

FEATURES:
Little Martin means just that. The size is somewhere between a 3/4 and a ukulele (actual size 12.5"x34"). Looks a little strange played by a full size adult on stage.

EASE OF USE:
Short scale neck makes for easy fingering even with recommended middle gauge strings.

VALUE:
Considering sound and Martin name, it's worth the money.

SOUND:
Sound is exceptionally loud for an acoustic, especially considering the size. Good tone too. Amplified it's excellent. Guitar has basic volume and tone controls and active pickup.

Best sounding small guitar I've played
Your general opinion of this product.

STYLE:
Finger picking, mostly

MUSIC EXPERIENCE:
Different church bands, stage band in high school

OVERALL:
I've had a Baby Taylor for about 6 years, but then saw a Martin LXM in a music store, and played it. I was surprised at how good it sounded, and showed my wife and daughter, who also play guitar. They both were impressed with the sound versus the Taylor, and my wife wanted to buy it right then. I found the electric version, the LXME on this web site, and was able to get it for what the non-electric LXM was in the music store. I sold the Baby Taylor on eBay, as well as an old Conn guitar. I continue to be amazed at how good the little guitar sounds, and keep it next to my computer so I can pick it up and play more often than I do my Martin D35. The case is extremely well made, too. The Little Martin obviously isn't made of normal wood, but I'm sure different technogies had to be used to get the better sound out of such a small g
