If you want a nice mic but not a whole locker of mics...

Product Review

Get this one. The build quality and thoughtfulness of everything about this mic are incredible. The sound quality, for someone like myself who isn’t an experienced audio engineer, is great. The shock mount and pop filter is unique and functional. I love it and it’s perfect for what I am doing.

Looks can be deceiving the King Bee is Pro Audio quality at entry level pricing!

Product Review

A high quality new large diaphragm condenser microphone for $100? I'll take two please! As a recording musician building my mic locker this is a no brainier! People criticize how the King Bee and other Neat products like childish, but I don't care how they look because they sound fantastic! The first day I had mine I tested it against my Aston Origin and a preferred the King Bee on my vocals because it has a nice lift in the high end while the Aston Origin has a flat EQ. These things have been workhorses for me over the past few weeks using them as room mics, drum overheads, and acoustic piano. Neat Microphones was started by the guys that founded Blue Microphones under the marketing umbrella of Gibson... these microphones were $350 when they came out, I suspect these didn't sell very well due to marketing because these are SOLID mics (and it seems like they may be liquidating the inventory of these bad boys for a great price too). Seriously get one, two, or even three of these before they are gone for good!

Big, smooth and detailed sound quality

Product Review

Neat was founded by the same guys who founded Blue. The build quality is excellent and it's solid as a rock. Excellent electronics and a huge 34mm diaphragm give the King Bee a smooth and accurate sound that is just beautiful on everything I've tried it on. Fabulous, smooth vocals and there's a clever pop screen. The shockmount works well and the mic screws into it so it's really secure. I've had one for a couple of years now and was thrilled at the new price, so, now I have a stereo pair thanks to AMS! You can't go wrong with this one.

Whats the buzz?

Product Review

This microphone is incredible. I can't say enough good about it. I've had it for just about five days now and every source I've run it on is great. Electric and acoustic guitars, bass, snare drum, saxophone, hand claps, room sounds and ambiance, overheads or a drum room mic, then of course vocals. This thing shines on vocals like a honeycomb of sweetness. It does have a feel to the at4040 and kinda sounds just like it, but it does in my opinion sound a bit better for female or airy vocals. Regardless, its a really solid mic, and since it's now $100 it's well worth picking up. I plan on grabbing a second for overheads. This thing when it first came out had a street price of $350 but dropped and im not sure why. Well worth it at $350, even more so worth it at $100. Buy one!

Exceeded My Expectations, My New Go To Mic!

Product Review

I brought this microphone on a impulsive whim because I thought it looked cool and it was priced right. Once it arrived and I unpacked it and put it to use I was blown away. I used it on guitars, saxophones, flutes and most importantly vocals with excellent results. This microphone has now become my go to mic. It also comes with a cool looking storage case.
