Product Description

For the first time, the high gain Peavey 6505 series amplifier is available in a 1x12 combo amp configuration. The Peavey 6505 - the amplifier used by metal stars Trivium, Machine Head, Bullet For My Valentine and many more - will now be available in a 60-watt combo with two channels and an extensive feature set.

Peavey 6506 Plus 112 Combo Amp Features

  • 16, 8, or 4 ohms (switchable)
  • Five 12AX7 preamp tubes
  • Two 6L6GC power amp tubes
  • Footswitchable lead/rhythm channel select
  • Effects loop
  • Separate 3-band EQ on each channel
  • Separate Resonance and Presence controls for each channel
  • Rhythm channel: pre-/post-gain, footswitchable Crunch boost
  • Lead channel: pre-/post-gain controls
  • Genuine Accutronics 3-spring reverb
  • Integrated MSDI microphone-simulated XLR direct interface
  • One 12 inch Sheffield speaker
  • Top handle
  • External speaker outputs
The 6505 Plus 112 combo harnesses the full gain and legendary tone of the Peavey 6505 Series, which since 1991 has defined the sounds of extreme rock guitar, into a format that is equally suited to clubs, rehearsal rooms and studios. Five select 12AX7 preamp tubes and a pair of 6L6GC power-amp tubes provide the tonal foundation for the 6505 Plus 112 combo, while patented circuitry such as Peavey's Resonance control tweak its legendary tone.

Both the Lead and Rhythm channels feature independent three-band EQ, pre/post gain controls and Presence and Resonance adjustment. The Rhythm channel also includes a footswitchable Crunch boost. The 6505 Plus 112 combo also features the Peavey MSDI microphone-simulated direct interface, which eliminates the need for miking by allowing users to route the amp's signal directly to a recording device or mixing console.

Additional features include three-spring reverb, effects loop and external speaker outputs, plus a 12 inch Sheffield loudspeaker in a sealed-back cabinet that offers maximum resonance and sound projection.

The extensive Peavey 6505 artist roster includes Machine Head, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Black Tide, Evergrey, Unearth, Story of the Year, Bleeding Through, Job For A Cowboy, Black Stone Cherry, In Flames, Gojira, Daath, Divine Heresy, Evergreen Terrace, The Devil Wears Prada, Bury Your Dead, All That Remains, Demon Hunter and many more.

What is your opinion of this product?
After playing on a fender frontman 10g for a year I decided to go all out and get something bigger. This was the best decision ever. The sound is amazing. It’s so crisp and clear. I would definitely recommend this amp to anyone looking to upgrade.

Brutal metal tone and incredibly loud!!!
What is your opinion of this product?
I bought this for my home studio and occasional gig. The volume rarely gets above 4 because of how loud this thing is! I'm glad I did not get the 120 watt version because with the 60 watt you can overdrive the preamp tubes while the volume is not deafening!

Heavy heavy heavy!!!
What is your opinion of this product?
I own the Mesa Mark V 25 and the Peavey VK 20 MH very happy with both but I had always wanted a 6505 picked up the 1x12 used and fell in love. The Mesa is a very refined sounding amp smooth liquid distortion where the 6505 is just raw in a good way yes you have a clean and lead channel with a crunch button for the clean side, I'm sure you could get a useable clean tone if you worked at it but it's more of a dirty, dirtier, filthy situation, if your looking for powerful low end and just insane metal grind this is the ticket!

Best Peavy I've ever played
What is your opinion of this product?
This amp a great tone, clean and overdriven. It rocks right out of the box. Effect pedals aren't even needed to achieve a great sound. The spring reverb is perfect.

Great Amp.
Your general opinion of this product.
Before I bought this amp from AMS i was a little worried about 6505+ clean channel,,,It looks that nobody likes it and I gig 40% on clean channel, but well i have been enjoying it a lot, some how I like it better than my previous combos clean channel ( JVM, Blackstar ht40 & fender hotrod deluxe)it is very punchy and dinamic...works very good with guitar volume. Iam using it with Charvel Wildcard 6 (seymour duncan stk1 single & JB bridge)

Amazing!
Your general opinion of this product.
this is a great Tube amp and it's nice and loud, just know tube amps are louder than solid state. the tubes warm up pretty quickly and the standby channel is perfect for when you're taking a break or setting up your pedals and wires and stuff
