Excellent Value for a Preamp!
Product Rating

It is a very well-built unit and has been dependable so far.

The best feature of this product is it's ease of use. The only thing I would have done differently is put the phantom power switches on the front panel as opposed to the back.

The Presonus D8 is simple to has worked well with my HD24 Hard Drive Recorder. I took it out of the box, hooked it up and was able to make it work without having to "study" the manual.

The tone quality is, for the most part, clear and VERY quiet for such a low-cost unit. The tone has an almost tube quality, even without tubes...a fairly warm, smooth sound.

I have not had the unit long, but I have used it pretty regularly and have not had a single issue with the unit.

Your general opinion of this product.

I think that it has surpassed what I had expected given the lower price than other models.
