Product Description

The new 245"S" pickups have been updated to deliver more clear warm tones. The SE Zach Myers has enough features to satisfy even the most demanding musicians. The resonance of the semi-hollow body paired with the smooth feel of the satin finish neck will make an immediate impression in your hands.

PRS Guitars introduced the SE Series in 2001 in an effort to bring high quality, high value guitars to the market. Popular with professional, casual, and beginning players alike, the SE Series has grown considerable since its introduction both in the style of models offered and in the detailed quality of the instruments. The evolution continues with all maple top models in the SE lineup getting a new look, sound and feel for 2017.

New Look
The PRS SE Zach Myers headstock is getting a striking remake for 2017. The new design features Paul Reed Smith's signature with the SE logo on headstock while the model name has moved to the truss rod cover. This change is a bold endorsement of the series, directly reflecting PRS' pride in the SE brand.

"I’ve been with PRS for 12 years. This is the best guitar I have ever played," – Zach Myers, Shinedown. Zach Myers, lead guitarist of the multi-platinum rock band Shinedown, picked up a PRS Custom 22 at the age of fifteen and announced his first SE signature model in 2010. As a guitarist who has rocked PRS on the stage and teched for several PRS bands, Myers has an intimate understanding of how a guitar should feel and what the build quality should be.

One smooth sounding dude

Product Review

Sounds great, and very playable. The trampas green looks even better in person, and the jade tuner knobs are a giant plus.

Great guitar, great attention to detail by PRS

Product Review

Plays great. A little darker sounding than I thought it would be. I own se custom 24 and play my dad's s2 singlecut semi hollow. This is on par with the s2 fit and finish wise. I immediately set it up with 10s. Required no fret work and intonation was spot on out of the box. Pickups are a little muddy and bassy but sort of expected. Tuners are okay. I would and probably will change out to locking tuners Throw a new set of higher quality pickups and some locking tuners on this and it is just about perfect. (Satin neck is great and don't be scared by the "wide fat" profile, it's not huge and very playable for chords and soloing)

Almost perfect

Product Review

I've wanted one of these since they were introduced. Beautiful Guitar, no flaws in fit or finish. I had the same problem as on the review on you tube I watched. I've never had a guitar, at any price, that stayed in tune worse. I could barely play a song or noodle a bit before it went out of tune. After just using it for a wall hanger for awhile, I replaced the junk tuners with a set of green keystone Grover Deluxes that matched the originals. I had to drill out the holes in the headstock for them to fit. That always makes me nervous. Now, with the new runers and a set of Super Slinkys 9s the guitar is a perfect 10.

Remarkable Versatility and Excellent Quality

Product Review

The PRS SE line is a great option for reasonably priced gear, and this is no exception. QC: 9/10. A couple minor complaints, like a touch of overspray at the neck joint, stand out only because there are so few. The fit and finish is excellent Aesthetics: 8.5/10. I love the look. It's extremely unique; Trampas Green is a fantastic and unusual color, and the f-hole adds a touch of class. The only thing keeping it from a 10/10 in the top's bookmatching; it's good, but not perfect at some angles. It's better than expected at this price, and I rarely see better on guitars costing less than $2000. Playability: 10/10. Functionally perfect for me. It's light, the neck is chunky but not overtly so, and the pièce de résistance is the matte neck. Perfect. Sound: 9/10. PRS pickups are consistently good; maple cap on a mahogany body is tried and true. It sounds great. Total: 90/100. A wonderfully unique and high-quality instrument with a feel to die for. A steal at this price.

Hands down the best deal on a quality guitar!!

Product Review

From the flamed maple top to the satin finished neck to the PRS 245S humbucking pickups, this thing is amazing! Great fit and finish, fantastic sustain, and just a fine guitar that plays like buttah! It is easy to see why Zach Myers doesn't alter the ones he actually plays live. The setup was perfect right out of the box too. Whether you are a blues, rock, alt rock, jazz, or a fusion of all of them, this is the next guitar you should buy. Combine that with AMS's return policy, amazing shipping speed, and unmatched customer service, and this deal is a literal no brainer. EZ pay is just the cherry on top! I will never buy my musical gear from anywhere else. AMS, you guys ROCK! \m/\m/\m/\m/

Product Review

It comes setup very nice out of the bag. Has surprisingly good tones considering it being a semi Hollowbody. Great playability.
