Product Description

The smallest and lightest of the Mach 2 combos (Only 19 pounds.), the 8 inch features a very potent high power pro audio driver. A sealed enclosure calibrated to deliver a very balanced and beautiful tone combined with the characteristics of Celestion's TF0818 speaker deliver amazing low end and a beautiful and articulate upper range.

Great for both acoustic and electric instruments, the 8 inch Mach 2 is unquestionably the most extensible and flexible of the Mach 2 lineup. If you are wondering whether an 8 inch speaker can cut it, go ahead and put that out of your mind. It is Quilter’s top selling combo amplifier for a reason. Combine this with a 12 inch extension cabinet for staggering power that will easily handle outdoors or coverage without a PA system.

Quilter MicroPro Mach 2 8 Inch Guitar Combo Amp Features

  • 100-watts per channel. 200 watts total when using channel 1 and 2
  • Patented next generation analog technology
  • Take it on board the plane and put in the overhead bin

  • Combine this with Quilter’s matching extension speaker, or use your own for outdoor or extremely loud gigs
  • Works with nearly any impedance, or even with the speaker unplugged

Amazing! Not sure if I'll get rid of my tube amps, but I can't imagine needing another amp to do anything above what the MicroPro offers. Maybe add the extension cab.

best amp at my age!!

Product Review

Being playing electric guitar 60 years! I played through Gibson Tians, Fender dual showmans, Acoustic amps, Peaveys with 4-12s, and Marshall w/4-12s. I don't play big gigs anymore but I still play smaller venues. At 71, it's difficult carry equipment around. I don't want to blow out people ears like before but I still need a good hearty sound that delivers. If it wasn't for this Quilter Micro 8 Mach 2, i'd probably stop playing gigs but this amp makes it so easy to continue on and not worry about big setups. I plan on getting a Quilter 12" ext cab for more guts if I need. Thanks Quilter for keeping me playing gigs and feeling my passion on stage!

Great little amp

Product Review

I had the 12 inch speaker version, and it was awesome. I figured this would be even better being smaller and lighter... and I was right.

Mighty might

Product Review

It’s the first amp I’ve owned that is capable of making me stop regretting all the great amps I’ve sold as well as appreciate that I had the sense to get rid of the mediocre ones. The Mach 2 8-incher will do just fine for me from jazz to blues to rock. I think I’ve found my back’s salvation. I’m discovering nuances every day.

Two Weeks In and I'm Still Discovering Its Wonders

Product Review

Typically, I'd take longer than a couple weeks to render judgment and opinion quickly, but with the Quilter MicroPro Mach II 8 incher, I knew almost instantly that I was gonna fall in love. For the record, my first amp was a '65 Ampeg Reverberocket, my next a '64 Fender Pro with a 15" speaker, then an original '65 Princeton Reverb. I kept each one, in succession, for a good number of years and punished them. Much more recently, I had a Roland Cube 80 for a couple years, and for a day I had a Katana 50. So, this Quilter does everything I ask of it from transparently showing off the crystalline tone of my '76 Howard Roberts Gibson to blowing the roof off with my Strat. Truly, this amp makes me (almost) wish I'd held on to 20 or so of the guitars I've owned over the years. Clear as a bell to down and dirty. You own it all in a lightweight and practical amp that is beyond worthy. And, oh, my back is feeling sooo thankful to Quilter. It's a remarkable achievement. Pedals optional.

Amazing! Wish I'd found it years ago!

Product Review

I've had all kinds of good quality tube amps, and they've all given me intermittent problems, especially at gigs. And they've damned heavy! Now I carry my amp over my shoulder, and being solid state, I expect NONE of the glitches I've been used to. The 8" combo is all I ever take to rehearsal. Usually, I don't even take my pedal board. Volume and presence are PLENTY, and the tone is incredible. Plus, I can select any number of effects on the fly with the optional foot switch. With the addition of Quilter's 12" Heavy Duty extension cab, the sound is absolutely amazing -- literally jumps out into the room! Plenty for all but a stadium gig! The amp's tone is simply the best -- clean, tight, crisp, and quick -- the most responsive amp I've ever owned. The controls allow for an amazing variety of tones, and it's also great with my pedals when I want to use them. Can't imagine a more "boutique" sounding amp for anywhere near the money. I'm a totally sold Quilter solid state supporter --

Great amp very versatile

Product Review

I just bought it and I am impressed how powerful it is. I like the stackable cabinet option but don't think I'll need it. I wish a foot switch was included and a headphone jack would help as well knobs take some time to get the right sound. Great product though

Versatile and handy, exceded my expectations.

Product Review

I have been using an AER 60 for my acoustics and either a '66 Fender Pro Reverb, or '64 Twin Reverb for electrics. Well needless to say at age 65, after trying the MicroPro8, I really don't ever want or need to take the Fenders out gigging again. Now that I have the Quilter MicroPro 8, I can actually use this amp for all of my guitars. My ears love it, and my back loves it even more. It is easy to get the sounds I want from my arch-tops, solid body electrics, as well as my nylon classical and steel string guitars and baritones.

Love this amp!

Product Review

Wow. I love this little thing. Great "tube" tone without the hassle of tubes, plus this amp is so lightweight, yet LOUD. My drummer laughed at me when I showed up at our gig with this amp. After one set, he said "can you turn that thing down a little??"! If you are looking for tons of low end, then add an extension cab, but if you are looking for the bottom end of a typical 12" combo amp (like a Fender tube combo), then you will be more than happy with the amount of low end that comes off of the 8" speaker, and you won't have to lug a heavy tube amp around with you. I am using this amp with various pedals, but I could see someone simply gigging with just the amp as it has tons of different tonal possibilities. Can't say enough about it.
