Excellent Microphone - Pod Cast Heaven
Product Rating

This thing is built like a tank. Rode made sure to put in some durability into this mic.

This mic has some great features, USB being the top feature which is great when you just need to plug in and start working on your recordings right away. The headphone output with a volume control is just great for monitoring right from the mic.

Absolutely the easiest mic I have ever used. Just plug in the mic via the supplied USB cable and windows recognizes the mic.

The sound is just super! I really don't have to use much in the way processing to get a great sound. I use it with the Rode shock mount and It just sound really good and clean. I sometimes use a pop filter because I tend to pronounce my plosives and sibilants heavily. But keep in mind that I use the mic strait on axis and at 2 inches of distance. I have experimented with an angled technique and no pop filter and it sounds great also. I sometimes use it a couple of inches away to get more of the room ambiance. No matter how I use it it sounds amazing.

Rode Podcaster and Great Assistance equals a winner

Absolutely, it is well made and has the quality and workmanship of a much more expensive microphone.

The ability to plug your headphone directly into the mic (with volume control) is fantastic. To be able to hear the feed directly is a real plus.

I bought a flexible desk mic stand and shock cage with the Rode, and I was up and recording in less than five minutes. No special software needed, and I am running this on Mac and Windows.

Great, warm sound. You'll love working with this mic.
