Great monitor!

Product Review

I used it for the first time on an outside gig in a fairly loud four piece band. The temp was 0ver 85 degrees and this monitor never had a problem. I had plenty of headroom with monitoring vocals and guitars through it. The build seems top notch to me and I think it will hold up. I've been playing weekend gigs for over 25 years and this Samson monitor is very compact and loud with good bass and low mid response. I think the build is better than any of the other in this price range. I prefer this wooden cabinet over others with composite cabinets.

Simple Elegant Design

Product Review

These are great as floor wedge monitors, with the tweeter inside the woofer design akin to the older Alto SXM112a. I had 1 of the Altos and needed a couple more. American Musical no longer sells them so I went with these Samson copies. These cost a little less and have less eq features. They are a tiny bit lighter, look nicer, and sound similar. They can be pole mounted as side fills or mains but work and sound much better on the ground. Make sure you use a balanced input at line level and it cuts through great with good feedback control. They are well constructed but I wish I could find a gig bag or protection cover for these for travel. Used 2 of these and the Alto as floor monitors at a outdoor gig for a loud blues rock trio and they delivered the low end and vocals for the bassist and Drummer which said they worked well enough. If they can take the beating I’ve given the Alto, they will be well worth the price. They have no real eq on them so eq signal before input.

Product Review

I like the size of this monitor, and have been surprised by the sound this little thing can put out. It is a bit on the heavy side, and has a awkward shape. However it does produce good clear sound.

I can hear myself!

Product Review

Great, great, great. Dispersion angle could be a bit wider for sharing, but otherwise excellent when dead on.
