Product Review

I had the task of setting up audio in a public access studio for a TV show I'm producing and wanted to have no cables on the floor. I needed to mic a wide area for actors and another area for audience and leave room for the cameras to truck around in. I found these choir mics and took a chance on them. They worked amazingly well. I hung them from the lighting grid about two to three feet above the actors and audience areas. They exceeded my expectations. Even when the actors were not near the mics, they pics up their voices nicely. I didn't detect any roomy sound to them at all. I couldn't be happier. I didn't notice any interference or noise from the lights bleeding into the mics, so the shielding Shure advertises seems to be working just fine too. The *only* complaint I have is that the cable used is very thin and could result in internal breakage but given they are 25ft, I'm okay with it. Also, they tangle easily. I am looking to wind the cable around something.
