Product Description

The SM35 headset condenser mic from Shure gives multi-instrumentalists the freedom to express themselves without having to sacrifice the sound quality found in traditional microphones. A tight, cardioid pickup pattern provides excellent rejection of off-axis sound sources to prevent feedback and signal bleed for superior performance on stage. The SM35-XLR includes an inline RPM626 preamp for use in standard wired (XLR) applications.

Shure SM35-XLR Performance Headset Mic Features

  • Wearable wireframe headset fits securely and comfortably for active performers and multi-instrumentalists
  • Tight, cardioid condenser pickup pattern rejects signal bleed and feedback for use on loud stages and behind floor monitors
  • Flexible gooseneck design allows for optimized placement to further improve source isolation
  • Lightweight and low-profile form enables comfortable, long-wearing use
  • XLR connector with inline RPM626 preamp for use in standard wired applications
  • Locking snap-fit windscreen tames plosive, breath and wind noise for clean and intelligble sound
  • Tailored frequency response refined for clear, crisp vocal reproduction

What is your opinion of this product?
I use this every Sunday and in some other gigs for directing The band or singing a solo. Man, the quality of shure never discapoints and this is no exception: clear, rich, honest sound and robust yet comfortable construction that, at least in my experience, demolishes my previous concept of what a headset can deliver. Thank goodness AMS makes everything budget friendly with these EPPs!

Awesome sound even for a female but cord is too short
What is your opinion of this product?
The sound is amazing! As good as the Shure handheld I have used for years. There are only two things: 1-Be aware--you HAVE to have Phantom power, either through the board or through an external power source such as the Behringer PS400. 2- The end of the cord is actually one that goes into a wireless pack to be worn on the body so it is very short--maybe 3-4 ft. then you have an extra converter to XLR that goes into that end if you are using it as a wired XLR connection. If you use it without an extension microphone cord, the short cord gets in your way (I play keyboards) and is very heavy on that end. If you use an extension mic cord you have it hanging at about your thigh level but it's heavy and puts a lot of stress on the short cord and connection unless you stick it in a pocket or clip it on somehow. They could fix this problem by making the cord longer. I would buy it again even with the short cord since the sound is so good but it would be nice if they fixed that.
