    It's not bad

What is your opinion of this product?
I bought a set of these turntables because I had tried the Reloop, Mixars, Pioneer, Audiot Technica LP 1240, TTX, SL1200's. I've used them all. These aren't bad, but what I want to tell you is that the counterweight is NOT heavy enough to properly set your tone arm. The supplied counterweight is 94 grams....compared to the 99 grams of the SL1200. That is a HUGE difference as you can't get the tone arm to "float" properly with the stanon weight, I swapped it out for the SL1200 and had no problems setting the proper tracking force. I spoke with Rich at Stanton and he confirmed the counter weight is too light, he said he is going to address it with the R&D team. The other thing is I don't like that Stanton chose to use a detent instead of a zero pitch light indicator, why they felt to put that damn detent at zero is beyond me, every DJ i speak with despises the Zero Pitch Detent. The low profile platter is nice, the torque is standard Super OEM hanpin.

    The New Standard
What is your opinion of this product?
Now I knew about the first Stanton ST150s being one of the standard DJ turntables in todays Super OEM demanding in club environments. I would have gotten them; as they have proven to be worthy of honorable mention, since its STILL a go to turntable even after 10 or so years, but I hated that the first model was blue. When I saw that these were black, it was love at first sight. I immediately started searching online for reviews and videos of people that have them to learn more about them I had no clue that the turntable literally released about a week ago. If that. There are no reviews! There are no review videos! only those show off videos showing off the turntable before its release. And there was even only 2 of those. So I took a chance and ordered these yesterday. I received them TODAY! I unboxed them and put them together. You will need to buy cartridges. Doesn't include with em. Torque is a whopping 4.5kgf/cm. Its built well and strong. Im just gonna say it. Its the new standard.
