With its gentle, program dependent optical compression and meticulously designed tube amplifier, the LA-2A is the go-to compressor for professional mixers around the world — especially for vocals. Incredibly easy-to-use Peak Reduction and Gain controls give you the ideal optical compression sound for vocals, bass, drums, and more.

RealVerb Pro
RealVerb Pro is a flexible, natural sounding reverb that is based on our own unique set of algorithms. Allowing you to design the room just as you hear it, the RealVerb Pro goes beyond the barriers of simply big/small or dark/bright, giving you our trademark, distortion-free, smoothing diffusion control and an ultra-long reverb tail.

Product Review

I was experience CPU issues running plugins in my projects. I decided to give the UA PCIe card and plugins a try. The first thing I noticed was an immediate drop in my CPU utilization. mission accomplished. At the same time I was suffering with "Plugin Overload" I decided to narrow my plugins to a core goto set. These UA plugins are great!

A great product but couldn't help my needs

Product Review

UA is a great company and the UAD-2 line is very popular with engineers around the world. However, in my case there's a BUT, it didn't help offloading as I was expecting it too. My sessions on Ableton Live usually peak the CPU around 45 to 55% with about 30 tracks or so,containing around 6-7 third-party synths plugins. So, I thought buying the UAD Quad and replacing all the stock and third party dynamics plugins like EQs, Compressors, Limiters and Enhancers with UAD would ease the load... NOPE, it doesn't! I learnt the hard way after plunging a $1000 on the UAD-2 Quad card that dynamics plugins barely peak the CPU. So, If you are buying for the pure fact and reason of mixing with UAD plugs then great, go for it. However, beware that the other advertising feature, offloading, may not do that much; especially if the taxing of your PC is coming from other third party synths and FX which the UAD card is not going to help offloading! Very sad but I'm truly considering returning it :-(

UAD nothing else to say !!

Product Review

The UAD-2 platform is incredible.DSP has come a long way!I purchased the Custom version of this card.AMS was so helpful and so friendly on helping me I thank them all great company.

Install the software from UAD first then slap your card in..simple as it gets.

The card itself with the new SHARC's are great( roughly 2.5 times stronger than the old UAD-1 versions).Above and beyond the old UAD-1's I have. The plug-ins themselves are well enough to make you speechless.Having used many of them in the "real" world I can say they have just nailed it!.To be able to have these ITB now is awesome!. I own the Waves versions of a few of the plug-ins and the small difference is awesome. Just like real gear no two real pieces of gear sound the exact same..

It might be a bit expensive for some.Music is a VERY expensive hobby. For those of us who do this for a living it just another expense ;).. When I can I will get another one.UAD ....should have purchased one sooner.Won't make you a better mix engineer but will give some awesome vintage gear to work with.Better than spending 200K on gear ;)..
