    Product Description

The VHT Melo-Verb is a guitar pedal recreation of the classic tremolo and reverb effects that were first introduced as built-in amplifier features in the ‘60s. The two effects sections are completely independent, with separate true-bypass switching. A smart design and control features allows players to achieve both great vintage and modern reverb and tremolo sounds.

The all-analog Tremolo section features classic Speed and Intensity controls, and for additional flexibility, it also has modern Shape and Level controls. The Shape control adjusts the tremolo character, everything from retro floating undulations to modern square-cornered chop.

When the Tremolo is engaged, the Level control can be set for added boost to help the effect stand-out more in the mix. With the Depth control turned down, the Tremolo section can also serve as a clean boost pedal, with up to 9dB of boost from the Level control — it’s like getting a clean boost pedal for free.

The Reverb section replicates the classic built-in tube-driven spring reverb tone, and takes it one step further with the addition of Tone and Mix controls, which were found on the most coveted outboard ‘60s reverb units. The reverb tones range from soft, warm and round to bright splashy ‘tile wall spatter.’

What is your opinion of this product?
For the price this product is not bad at all! You are paying for two pedals for the price of one. I just love the reverb side. I'm using this with a barebones fender pro junior 3 that only brings a volume and tone knob. Getting this pedal was my one condition to getting the amp. My only complaint is that when the tremolo side is activated it produces a low hum. Unfortunately as you raise the level the hun also gets louder. I've demoed the pedal on a couple different amps and I did notice that the hum is better or worse from amp to amp. My pro junior doesn't hum much with the pedal pluged in. That's the only issue. The tremolo sings really sweet once you get passed that. Really great for jazz and RnB. I'd get something with a brighter and wetter sound for surf guitar.
