Product Description

Powerful sounds in a compact sophisticated looking metal chasis, the StompLab 1G pedal is the one pedal for every guitarist. Sound variations are categorized by style, such as rock, blues, and ballad, making it easy for even novice users to recall the desired sound.

With high-quality looks, the StompLab multi-effects unit contain an incredibly diverse array of sounds that range from distorted to clean, and the sheer number of these sounds can be staggering. Although having a large number of sounds is a great advantage, it can also overwhelm the novice user, causing difficulty or confusion.

The StompLab series is designed to be easily usable, even by novice players. Since each program is named with a musical style, such as rock, blues, or metal. You'll be able to find the perfect sound without being concerned with specific effect names. The musical styles are categorized into ten types, and cover everything from straight-ahead traditional styles to quirky, unusual sounds. There are ten variations for each category, so you're sure to find sounds you like.

Simply playing the preset sounds is a lot of fun, but you'll definitely want to create some of your own original sounds as well. The StompLab IG contains 103 types of modeling effects. These effects are categorized as pedal, amp, drive, cabinet, modulation, delay, and reverb effects. When noise reduction is included, you can use up to 8 of them simultaneously. Each effect type provides multiple parameters that you can deeply edit to create your perfect sound. Since the sound engine is equivalent to those featured on the worldwide best-selling VT+ series of modeling amps and the ToneLab series of multi-effect units, you need no further guarantee of quality. Sounds you create can be saved as 20 user programs.

It looks great!
The StompLab series was designed with great care, not only for its sounds, but also for its superb aesthetic. You'll never get tired of the cool metallic exterior. The pedal design is reminiscent of the vintage VOX wah pedals, which is sure to boost inspiration. One of the attractions of the StompLab series is the high-quality appearance, which is unheard of among other compact multi-effect units. It sounds excellent, it looks great and it's compact enough to fit into a gig bag, so you can take it along with you anywhere your music takes you, quickly and easily.

Packed with convenient functions including a tuner! The StompLab series has a built-in chromatic tuner, so you won't need to provide one separately. The three-LED indicator makes tuning easy. For convenience on stage, there's a mute function that lets you tune without being heard by others. What is your opinion of this product?
I absolutely love this pedal. The modeling, especially, is quite wonderful. It's basically everything in the Vox VTS series (I think it's called) in one pedal. Only thing I wish is that distortion/overdrive was as easy to select and control (independently of everything else) as much as the delay is. But that could just mean I still have learning to do. This is a great pedal for home recording or shows that you want to avoid bringing a loud amp. You can plug this right into a PA, choose the amp model you want and it sounds just like you have an amp right there. For the money I think this is a great accessory for any working guitarist to own.

"I LOVE THIS THING"
What is your opinion of this product?
I bought this unit for recording directly into my computer. It has really nice sounds on the preset patches. Most of them very usable.I play a solid state amp. I was not happy with my clean sound on my amp. So I decided to plug my Vox Stomplab into my amp, boy am I glad I did.The clean sound is amazing. It almost has a Tube sound. The other sounds that I created on my Vox are Crunch and Overdrive sounds. I am very happy with this unit. The acoustic sound is very good also.I would highly recommend this unit for any guitar player, beginner or pro. You will love this thing.

"well worth the money I paid for this item"
Your general opinion of this product.
I rated this a 4 out of 5 stars. I needed a little rig to take to rehearsal and for practice at home and this unit works very well for those purposes.
Seems to be pretty rugged, metal housing not cheap breakable plastic. The toggle switches are metal too, nice and solid. I don't know about the durability of the electronics, haven't had it long enough yet.
Controls are easy to figure out.... with the help of the manual I was editing and saving in no time at all.
Cleans and crunches sound good, the high gain sounds tend to go splat a little. Mods, delays, verbs are all very clean sounding.
The response time between patch changes is fast and silent. Making new sounds or editing is a little confusing at first, but was able to get the hang of it pretty quickly. Wish it had more than 20 user slots.
Paint job and construction both look great. Metal box is a real plus.
Seems durable, but have not had it long enough to make a long term judgement.

Very nice multi-effects
Seems very well made. Sturdy metal construction, solid footswitches.
Haven't had it long enough to really say. But Vox seems to be putting out good products and seriously trying to build a reputation, so I'm not worried about it.
Your general opinion of this product.
I like it a lot. It's a low cost multi-effects, which often (maybe usually) means compromised sound quality - but not here. The overdrives, distortions, and amp cabinets all sound good. Not brittle, not "digital". The modulations, reverbs, and delays are fine. Musical sounding and useful.
It's response to changes in your guitar volume, tone, and picking aren't fantastic, but they're definitely in the useable range. Like most small but loaded multi-effects, you're not going to easily make a lot of changes on the fly. There are dedicated knobs for drive and volume, but beyond that you're going to pressing buttons and scrolling.
Good tone. Has a couple of tone control circuits. I've been able to get what I want out of it.
Good looking box. That's part of the appeal. Nice paint job on the metal enclosure. ...... and don't forget those cool retro vibed chicken head knobs!
