Washburn and Nuno have teamed up to create the thin jumbo style EA20SNB acoustic electric guitar. Best known for his ground breaking work in Extreme and currently touring with Rihanna, Nuno Bettencourt is truly a guitar hero, inspiring millions of guitarists around the world.

Washburn EA20SNB Nuno Bettencourt Guitar Features

  • Thin jumbo style acoustic electric with a Florentine cutaway
  • Book matched solid Alaskan Sitka spruce top
  • Custom mourning widow inlays at the 12th fret
  • unique rosette features the mourning widow motif
  • Fishman Isys+ Tuner/Preamp/Pickup

Nuno and Extreme came to prominence with the acoustic hit, More Than Words, which featured the guitarist playing a Washburn Festival Series acoustic/electric guitar. Nuno has continued to feature Washburn Festival Series guitars in his acoustically driven songs to this day. It is with that spirit and desire to create the perfect stage and studio ready instrument that Washburn and Nuno teamed up to create the EA20SNB.

The EA20SNB guitar is a thin jumbo style acoustic/electric with a Florentine cutaway for extended upper fret access. It features a book matched solid Alaskan Sitka spruce top with quarter sawn scalloped bracing and gorgeous book matched rosewood back and sides. A smooth satin finished mahogany neck offers the utmost playing comfort and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard which matches the rosewood bridge.

The fretboard also features custom mourning widow inlays at the 12th fret. A bone nut and saddle provide ultimate tone transfer and increased sustain. Chrome Grover 18:1 tuners feature ultra precise tuning and ensure tuning stability. The unique rosette features the mourning widow motif which ties in with the fretboard inlay.

One of the best features of the EA20SNB is its feedback reducing thin body and the inclusion of the Fishman Isys+ Tuner/Preamp/Pickup combo for superb natural sounding amplified tone. Fishman is known as the industry standard for acoustic amplified tone and Nuno would settle for no less.

What is your opinion of this product?
This is a great guitar for the money spent. The neck feels great, is about the right size, between a 50s and a 60s profile neck which is what I very much like. The action is nice and low. The acoustic preamp is very good, plenty of volume when put through an amplifier like the Fender Acoustasonic and the electronics are very easy to use. The solid spruce top along with rosewood back and sides have a great tonal characteristic. The guitar is mid range to bright and very balanced for how thin and small the body is. The only drawback is the size of the frets. The wire would be better, in my opinion as a medium jumbo but for what it is, overall the guitar is a great buy. I am glad I finally bought one and I will use it for years to come.

Love This Guitar
What is your opinion of this product?
I bought this because I like the thinner body style. I have a Taylor and a Martin, and wanted something that I could hack around on. I have played this our last two acoustic gigs, and love the way it plays and sounds. Tons of volume, and the tuner is dead on. It came set up very well. Low action, intonation is perfect. Unplugged it is a bit on the "tinny" sounding side, but I was expecting that because of the body style. Plugged in and ran through a TC Helicon voice play, I would stack it against any other A/E in the same price range.

My new favorite
What is your opinion of this product?
I bought this guitar because of its good looks, slim profile and light weight. I bought it mainly as a travel/campfire as I'm somewhat a collector and have several high dollar Martins, Gibsons, and Taylors. But much to my surprise this little guitar has become my main go to guitar in amplified situations. The action and playability of this guitar is second to none, and the sound through all of my different amps is just astounding. And although not a cannon, it holds it's own in a purely acoustic setting. Absolutely love this guitar
