SO SEXY!

What is your opinion of this product?
REVSTAR 620 Brick came in today! I'm loving it! Body and paint are flawless and beautiful! Neck binding is very smooth, fretboard is silky smooth and flawless. I love the vintage look of the Revstar, it looks 50 years old but plays like a modern guitar with a vintage/modern tone. Only complaint would be the strings have a oily residue on them so I cleaned them twice with fast fret until I can restringet. The residue made it really hard to slide! I bought my last Yamaha guitar 23 years ago and it's still great in every way so I thought why not get another Yamaha! I'm glad I did!

Good guitar - but plan for a good setup
What is your opinion of this product?
I just purchased one of these a few weeks ago here at AMS. Great looking and nicely resonant guitar. However, the finer touches are what keeps this from being a huge value. The fret ends were very sharp and prickly and the bridge itself needed adjustment right away to make it playable for anyone in the semi-pro category. And even afterwards, I'm still getting some string-ping at the saddle on the 5 & 6 strings during bends. Pickups aren't bad - a little upper/mid-focused for my tastes. So overall I can see some Duncans in the very near future as well as possibly a new Resomax or similar bridge. But overall, its capable of being a gigging guitar with a little extra investment. And the neck is fantastic.
AMS Responds: Thank you for your feedback! Most manufacturer's find these issues prior to shipment, however, changes in climate and humidity during shipping can cause changes to the original set up. We greatly appreciate you providing this information!
