Product Description

Zildjian Sweet Ride is a beautiful, all-purpose ride with medium overtones. Zildjian Sweet Ride cymbal features a traditional finish with long sustain, loud volume and medium thin weight.

Zildjian’s classic sound is embodied by A Zildjian and immortalized in countless recordings by the greatest drummers of all time. Known for their versatility, these bright cymbals range from paper thin and delicate to extra heavy and cutting. Recent adjustments were made to the curvature and weights of many current models to capture the sweet spot of the classic A sound, producing crashes, rides, and hats that reflect today’s musical styles.

A great cymbal for any situation
Product Rating

Product Review

I bought this cymbal because a couple of my favorite drummers use it. I needed something that would be show ready and let me tell you it was. Of all the ride cymbals I’ve had in my years of playing I’ve never loved the sound of one as much as this. It crashes well, has a great pingy Bell, and can crash rather effectively. I couldn’t recommend this cymbal more that I am right now. Among with playing in a 90s rock cover band I also play with an Americana folk band and it works for both. I don’t think this cymbal could be anymore versatile.

A solid ride for jazz, soft rock or other intricate genre

Product Review

This is a very nice, clean sounding ride. It's best suited for modern jazz, big band, soft rock, country, and some classic rock. If you are looking for a metal/rock ride (something that cuts through the mix) than this is not the cymbal for you. Definitely suited for intricate/technical work. It has a good wash, with dark overtones, a good shimmer, and a distinctive, but not overpowering ping sound on the bell. There isn't a ride cymbal out there that does everything well, but this is definitely usable in 2/3 of the situations you might come across, if you play all genres of music. I'd say well worth the money; also records well.
