Very happy with my purchase. Small in size, but large/loud in sound. Bass is punchy and can go to surprisingly low (50khz). Plan to add a sub, but still enjoying them without. Highs are phenomenal. Crystal clear and smooth. Listen for hours without any ear fatigue. Mixes translate well when I listen on multiple sources. Rarely ever need to adjust which is a time saver. Big bonus to me is having the power button on front (rare) as well as the front port for optimal placement. Added some IsoAccoustic stands that work perfectly. The only negative I have is that the rear panel does get hot. I have left them on for days at a time without any issue, but I try and turn them off when not in use. Highly recommended!!!

When AMS had their sale on these, I upgraded from my Adam T5Vs and wow, what a difference. They're a bit smaller, but sound so much better and full and the extension in the high end is great. Highly recommended.

The sound I get from these monitors have enabled me to have some of my best mixes. The clarity is amazing and I love that the controls are on the front of the monitors. I use them for sound mixing film and tv and I do not regret the purchase.

These monitors are exceptional, PERIOD! Would recommend a sub, however these thing cover a wide audio range for there size. highly recommend and as always AMS is my go to for gear, great service!

I did a lot of research looking for monitors to fit my space. The boxes are heavy and top quality, make sure you get good speaker stands as you will need to work on the direction and height of the monitors. The power switches are on the front with a power light this should be the standard but it's rare to find but it was a requirement for me. The sound is frankly flat and plenty loud. There is a lot of talk about the ribbon tweeters and they are what make them special. I was worried about the 5 inch woofer but I have a smaller space and the 100% fill the need and then some! I did install a non Adam sub just in case but you don't need one. I like to spend my cash on the right product to do the job and spend it once, I hit this out of the park here! I highly recommend the Adam A5X for smaller mixing areas.

These things will blow you away and are some of the best five inch budget monitors out there. The clarity up to 50khz is unreal and Adam provides handy adjustments in the back for low frequencies, high frequencies, and tweeter levels to tune the monitors to your liking. It’s important to note that because of their power these things will get hot! Classic and modern recordings across all genres translate satisfyingly and provide a nice stereo image and soundstage.

These are some of my favorite speakers, I didn't give a 5 star review because I can't crank them how I would like, but where I can push them, they excel! I owned the 3's for 6 years, I'm currently paying these speakers off but they are worth it, they translate mixes well...in a few years it'll be time to get the A7X! Highly Recommend...

sturdy, quality build. well packaged. the best.
versatile room adjustment filters, multiple connection and calibration options, and full electro-magnetic shielding.
connections are solid, the manual is long and detailed. couldn't be better
the sound is super accurate. room correction filters allow to adjust for imperfect room acoustics and the folded ribbon tweeters run circles around your transients. these monitors reveal every weakness in your mix with the clarity and depth that allows you to improve them.
i've had them for a month now. only great things to say.
