Crown AKG has been one of the most recognized microphones in the industry, from Artists like Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and others. Having been able to own one has always been my dream. I currently have the Crown Akg hooked up to my AKG Mini Duo, works flawlessly. Definitely would recommend this microphone. Can’t beat AMS with those monthly payment plans. AMS definitely comes through when they are needed. 10/10

I think this mic is great for sound clarity and range. I think the headgear feels kinda clunky though.
And though it says you can bend the wires to make a custom fit, it doesn’t really give much.
The microphone arm tightens with a screw but you really have to crank it and it still moves a little too easily in other directions regardless ( towards or away from your face).
I chose this one because of a demo video comparing others warn by a singing drummer based on its sound and rejection of the drums.
It seems that crown hasn’t attempted to update their headset design in 30 years and I wonder if a Shure or others slightly less expensive but more recently released might be comparable.

I bought this to replace my Shure Gldx headset.The reason being is that the Shure mic only went to the corner of my mouth and wasn't projecting my voice enough at gigs.This Crown mic sounds great and has good adjustments and plugged perfectly to my Shure belt pack.It's made pretty sturdy but the screw that holds the boom in place doesn't do that great a job of holding it in place,I had to readjust it several times during my gig.I play guitar and sing so it still gives me freedom to sing and use my pedal board without being stuck to a stand.It takes getting use to the way it feels but it is comfortable.The cable is plenty long too.To bend the ear wires to fit is a pain but once it's on it's all good.The price is way way overpriced but that's the going rate for these.My whole Shure wireless headset unit was not much more exspensive as this.I have read reviews about loud wind noise from your nose coming through the mic.While you do hear it in a quiet room it was never an issue at my gig since it was noisy in the place to begin with and when the band is playing it is a mute point. In closing if you're in the market for a nice headset mic that has good adjustment and sound clarity with no feedback look no further.

It’s still the best headset on the market, started out as CROWN now AKG with the same integrity!
This diaphragm is almost like having a handheld mic with no hands operation!
