They are a great set of monitors for the price, using them to monitor VSTs. They have slight noticeable latency for a few minutes after turning them on, but once they’re on for a little while it goes away.

Perfect for a studio with limited room on a budget.These 5 inch drivers have rich sound you would expect from monitors that would cost twice as much. The 80 watts that come from these speakers will power whatever you can throw at them!

I had the active models that are no longer, these feel so cheap are very light and plastic sound , I can't believe these are even called monitors, bass fades out quick talking on rock not even rap, sounds muddy spend 80 more and get real monitors

I had KRK Rokit 5's for years. I loved them so when one died and I was devastated. I am not a pro but I make decent home recordings. I didn't want to spend close to $400 for new KRK's so I researched for months. I almost went with the Eris series but I wanted that 5" that I was used to. For the price these sound really neutral - just as they should, yet the highs are clear and crisp and it has some decent well rounded low end. I am very happy. Do your research or trust me. Best hundred bucks I have spent on gear.

I bought these to hook up to my portastudio recorder. Now I only set these up to hear how they would sound. I didn't set them up permanently and i thought they had too much bass. I checked to make sure the bass boost wasn't on and it wasn't. Maybe they would sound better if i get them set up permanently. I'm not saying they are a bad product, just too much bass for my taste.

These Alesis Elavate 5 are amazing. Perfect high's & low's that are natural sounding. I have no regrets at all with these. In my opinion they are underrated. Just an all great value for the buck.

Bought to use as an "amp" for a Simmons SD600 electronic drum set so we could get stereo sound. The monitor sounds amazing paired with the set. For our application, we had to get a set of 6 ft long 1/4 TRS to 1/4 TRS cables to connect as the 1/8 headphone to RCA cable that the monitor came with was too short, only a couple feet long.

I have always like Alesis products. These monitors are very nice for the price. Well sounding, well built. Obviously they are not going to perform like thousand dollar monitors but for what they cost they more than outperform their price point IMO.

Had these beauties a few years ago. Lost them due to theft unfortunately. Had to purchase them again. Very pleased with the sound they deliver. Great bass response. Bass boost feature is great!!! Awesome price!!!!! I use them for dj projects as well as my radio show.

I really enjoyed the first series of these monitors. I was skeptical about the size because they were smaller... Both with the overall size and the speaker was about an inch and a half smaller. But that has some great value here. Number one there's one volume knob for both that was always a downside not that I would always turn them down but the original series had two volumes one on each which kind of was a hassle so that alleviates that. There is now a new headphone jack that I think is pretty neat. There is also a bass boost option which for reviewing or just jamming out some tunes it's kind of fun to turn on. I wouldn't do it if I was trying to mix but it's a great option that's added. The speakers are Sleek look more futuristic design the older ones were more block looking. But I must say that I'm very pleased with the sound is just as loud as the older ones and just better overall another thing is not this powers on both which makes it very convenient. So if you're wondering about the size of the speaker and the quality and volume I wouldn't worry as they are great speakers as the first series plus new updated features make it nice.

In the market to replace my Numark NPM5 was debating M-Audio AV42 or Pioneer DM-40 I'm a Pioneer fan but Alesis Elevate 5 MK2 had the proper 2 inputs I needed plus frequency range 56 hz - 20 Khz a touch better on the lows unlike AV40 75-20 / DM40 70-30 respectively. Not great the sound is really good but the bass boost switch doesn't work the way it should. I contacted ALESIS and got a reply but no tech got in touch with me. I have to play with the bass boost switch to get it somewhere in the middle of on and off to get the boost.
