I have been playing Flamenco guitar for many years. I love the sound and percussive elements of this guitar. There is no tapping plate so you will have to buy a clear plastic one above and below to protect the instrument. It has beautiful cypress typical of a Flamenco guitar. It is quite quiet but plugged in to an acoustic amp sounds good. Without an amp, it has a warm sound so you have to put a little more energy into it to get that flamenco sound.
A great guitar for the price.I bought mine in Scotland!

Beautifully finished. But it is unplayable!!! The reason being that the very top of the wooden bridge is about 1/4" higher than the top of the finger board. You can not take out and sand/or replace with a lower bridge piece that the strings rest on because you would have to grind down the top wooden part of the bridge a make the slot for it deeper to actually make it go low enough!!! Who designed this? I am not a luthier, but I know how to adjust a bridge on an acoustic guitar and this is simple guitar design 101. 4.5mm string height is lowest I can get mine to go. 500 dollars down the drain. I am not sending it back and waisting 70 dollars shipping to Alvarez because I already sold it to guitar center in baton rouge for 200 dollars and got some of the 500 dollars back but I still have to pay it off on the 12 month payment plan I originally ordered it under. I did not send it back to Alvarez and waste 70 dollars on shipping for them to tell me nothing is wrong with it. BASIC GUITAR DESIGN YOU SWHOUL HAVE SEEN THIS PROBLEM WAY BEFORE THIS GUITAR WENT INTI PRODUCTION. I have e mailed them at Alvarez with ths problem but have not heard from them yet, if I even will. Alvarez use to make great guitars. What happened to you? I did not order this guitar from this website.

The guitar has the perfect tension for rasgueado style and has more volume than others in the same price range that I compared it too the electronics work great and wish I would have got it sooner than I did
