Product Rating Product Review We built an IEM rig for our band and needed a couple xlr splitters. I saw some spotty reviews of cheaper models so decided to go with these. They work great and sound nice and clean.

Solid connections and road ready housing. Reversible face plate is a nice feature, the attenuation selector and ground switch on the face are a very nice features! Basic function, very specific - so ease of use a no brainer. So far no issues at all; we use it for live sound so really no detectable degradation in sound quality here. Your general opinion of this product. Using this in line with our PreSonus Studio Live 24.2.2... in which we are spoiled when it comes to managing our own in-ear monitor mix. We decided on three ART S8's and a set of snakes to split our signal we can still use our board and feed FOH at venues that run sound... we still have control of our own monitor mix and let the sound engineers deal with FOH. ART S8 units were a very cost effective way to accomplish this!

This product is made well. It's not made cheap... I have two of them and I'm going to buy two more soon.. All the features on this product is great. I just wish they made it in a 16 channel splitter This is real easy to hook up right out of the box. It only took me 5 mins. to install in a rack and hook up Before I hook this spliter up I had a hum and some noise in my system. After hooking it up the hum and noise I had went away.

Excellent Alternative To An Expensive Split Snake

All the ART equipment I have is built very well and these splitters are no exception. The split capability is obviously the best feature. I purchased two of these to split the inputs to the Front of House snake and the monitor board. The cost of the splitters and the short 16 channel snake needed to connect the splitters to the FOH snake was way less then investing in a split snake. Simple to install and use. I have the splitters mounted in the back of my monitor rack, the stage snake connected to the inputs, the tranformer isolated outputs patched to the monitor board, the direct outputs are patched to the FOH snake. The attenuator pads are a welcome feature when connecting the output from a keyboard players mixer or a midi module. I also use the splitters in the recording studio to send the output to both the monitor system and the recording interfaces. Very tansparent. I haven't noticed any coloration or degradation of the signal to any connected equipment. This unit also has a ground lift switch on every channel. I have not had to use them as I have not experienced any hum or noise issues when using the splitters live or for recording. I've read some reviews on other sites stating the splitter introduced noise to the signal path. My response is "It pays to use high quality power conditioners to supply good, clean power to all of your equipment."
