buy this third after guitar and solid state or digital amp

excellent, hobbyist so i can't see damaging this one, but would replace asap. buy it before any pedal! the warmth it adds to my solid state sound. i use it before the amp input and after effects. i would add a five band equalizer the way they do it on guyatone micro pedal equalizer . . . or seven or ten bands. extremely easy to use following concise clear directions. i've thought of alot of different ideas, and customer service has been excellent with quick answers. nice and warms with a solid state setup. i also used it with a gdec; solid state with digital effects and it warmed that up too. only owned it a month, but put together well, and customer service stated that they circuitry should make the tube last foreverish. Your general opinion of this product. before buying any pedal, i'd buy this first. it works in some sense like a pedal in that you can boost output . . . the limiter seems to take some airiness out that i could see some would want and the filter on the lower noise rumble . . . seems like it acts like a compressor and or noise limiter in a certain sense. maybe compresser at top and noise limiter on bottome.

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
I ordered two for my R0DE mics to run to my soundcard. They seem solid. However, one of the units has a slight crackling to it when the output is above half, though it goes away when I turn on the phantom power. Other than that, I feel confident in saying that this isa very well made and sturdy product.

FEATURES:
The dual inputs and outputs are useful already, and I've had less than a week. I don't use the limiter just because I don't let the signal get that high. The phase switch is nice. The extra +20 gain boost is useful when you need tube overdrive. The impedance switch between high and low gives flexibility in its use. I think the only that could make this unit more useful is if it had a 10 range EQ. But really, it has everything a good preamp should.

EASE OF USE:
I plugged it in and had it working for myself instantly. It is a simple highly effective unit.

VALUE:
For the cost, I would recommend buying
