Product Review
I use this with a lot of my various synths as well as my DAW and my Modular gear. I have it as my on the go controller paired with my Akai MPC one! Fantastic board with tons of I/O and can be powered via usb. The keys feel great for mini keys, and the aftertouch is very nice to have as well even though the keys do not have much travel you can still pull off the aftertouch you are looking to achieve. All in all 2 thumbs up and I highly recommend having one or more for the studio or on the go!!

A quality well built controller

I am very impressed and very happy with this particular controller. The build and quality of construction is excellent, it doesn't feel like a cheap device like some of the other controllers out there. This controller has some weight to it and the keys also have a quality feel and action. It is a great value for the price, I am also going to purchase the 37 key version. Arturias website, software and support are top notch. You won't b disappointed with this device.

Best Keyboard Controller Of Miniature Size

Product Review
If you're starting out with desktop or bedroom music production and have been looking for a fully functional keyboard controller that won't commandeer your entire work space, look no further. There's a lot of junk in this price range, most lacking the Keystep's solid build and functionality. You're not likely to find another keyboard this size with a built-in arpeggiator, a built in step sequencer and connections for MIDI DIN, MIDI clock, MIDI sync and CV. If you're playing around with semi-modular hardware synths (Moog, Korg Volca, Behringer, Waldorf, whatever), the Keystep can handle them just fine. Combine the Keystep with the Beatstep or Beatstep Pro (or even the new Keystep Pro) or another sequencer and your possibilities become endless. Be sure to bone up on the MIDI standard if you want to daisy-chain multiple devices to any controller. More devices, more problems.

Product Review
Im a novice with midi controllers so from my limited experience and watching youtube videos the keyboard works with synth apps on my 6th gen ipad. I had to buy and adapter to use the keyboard. The app I mainly use is the free Audiokit Synth One. The app is so good I paid for the other two synth apps from the same developer. The controller is well built. I haven’t tried all of the bells and whistles but did download the pdf manual file. It goes into great detail, more than I care to learn.

I can't say enough about just how useful the Keystep is. 32 keys. MIDI OUT!!! Clock sync. Arp. Sequencer.
Arturia needs to make a 49-key (mini) keystep, a 61-key (mini) keystep, and full-sized "Keystep Pros"... with encoders, assignable buttons, a screen, etc.
They NEED to do that.
100 savable sequences inside the unit itself, 100 arpeggio patterns (and the ability to customize your own using the Midi Control Center-- then, sending it to the hardware)... 8 encoders (minimum!) 8 assignable buttons (with different colors, like the Keylab series)... they would destroy.
Novation needs the competition, with their SL MKIII.
Arturia-- please listen to your users!!! And make that black Keystep more widely available! :)

Great little controller keyboard. I like the fact that it has MIDI out and in. However, I don't understand why they didn't include a power button on the unit.

The Arturia Keystep was purchased to control my Behringer Model D Analog synth. It’s fantastic- with the polyphonic sequencer and arpeggiator built in, and CV and Gate output... it’s a perfect marriage to many of the small desktop analog synths available. It’s obvious practicality for travel etc. is fantastic... but this is a powerhouse of features in a small, exceptionally reasonably priced package!
